  • @raptorrider07 No, protein is as needed as you think it is... it just helps to build muscle faster when you take the supplement, but often the muscles arent dense so they are big but not very strong. Just look at shaolin monks for an example, they eat little proten and dont supplement, but they have much more strength than top body builders 2x their size

  • How strong were you before you completed your first oac? My right arm can do 3 reps with my left arm pinching the door frame at my shoulder height and can do 1 rep of one arm negative with 5kg weight and locking off for 2-3 seconds at top, mid and bottom positions but I am still not confident of completing a full oac. I'm thinking of attempting it only after i can do negatives with 10kg. I am 75kg by the way. Will greatly appreciate any advice from you!

  • both, if you to pullup which is palms out, lats is more strenuous. If you do chinups, which is palms facing you, biceps play more of a part.

  • I AM NOT HATING!!! What you did was great. BUT, it was more like a Commando Pull-Up than a Chin-Up. Check out the guy "Timbahwolf" video of doing the one-arm chin up. He approaches front the front, not the side.

  • Put your feet together and see if you can still do a one arm push up. ....its a lot tougher! It ends up being a balance issue, or needing stronger triceps.

  • Wow, You did 1 and a half with each arm! I'll bet only one out of 1000 guys can do that! Only a handful of vids of 1 arm chinups here on YT. Shows how hard it is. You should end with a few 2-arm chinups, which I'll bet are easy for you, and then some flexing!

  • i have the exact same chinup bar and the exact body shape and size but i cant do any one arm chinups

  • That is so stupid, your knees are so high up your not lifting with your arm, but more with your lower body, it's impressing what you do. but it's far from a real one arm chinup that my seargent used to do back in the army days.

  • Wow! And you've never trained for that? It'll be interesting to see how you progress! Just be careful not to overtrain. Working hard on this once a week should be sufficient. After a really good blasting, it can take 5-7 days to really recover. Sufficient recovery time will also help avoid tendonitis, which is always a risk with an exercise this intense. And yes, next time you ought to flex for the camera afterwards; those biceps do look impressive!

  • I didn't train specifically for this, so I didn't know I could. I've trained for regular pullups, although 20 is all I care to do; most of my training for the past couple years is just to stay in shape.
