I've been dying to see Awakenings for a long time, I love Robin Williams and Robert De Niro, just waiting for a UK Blu-ray release but it doesn't seem to be coming any time soon :( Everybody's Fine sounds like a good film. Haven't seen Lion King in the longest time, need to get that one too lol. I'd LOVE that steelbook, hard to get though! By the way, talking of Robin Williams, have you seen The World According to Garp?
Awesome update mate, really enjoyed this one, sorry it took me a while to get around to watching! That Willy Wonka boxset is awesome...really contemplating importing it! Will cost a lot with shipping though, hmmm. Warrior was amazing, can't believe hardly anyone saw it(here, anyway), and Jackie Brown is brilliant. A lot of great films, you're taste is awesome. That 1001 book looks great, might have to get that at somepoint too
@MrMichaelblake X-MEN 3: The Last Stand...I hate that movie with a passion. The only reason I bought it was because it came with a movie ticket to see X-Men First Class. The Blu-ray was $6.00 and seeing as a movie ticket costs around $10 they basically paid me $4 to put this crappy movie in my collection.
@infringinator If I had a dollar for every annoying sarcastic comment you post on my videos I could buy a corvette instead. I'm really sick of these comments dude. If you don't have something to say pertaining to the video why do you comment? I'm blocking you now...
i have the same book robbie and i love it! I have the same goal to see every single movie in the list when i watch something from the book ill let you know if it was good or not so you can check it out. take care man
Great Update Robbie, I actually watched the whole thing, and I just ordered Charlie Chocolate factory 40th anv., cant wait to get it - I dont think I will have the will power that you do to keep it closed. :)
@95cloner They added scenes featuring American actors and edited certain things out of the original film. There are a lot of differences, too many for one comment.
Great update. Wow, that was a lot of titles. I need to check out some of those Hitchcock titles. I've been slowing trying to get all of his stuff. I really enjoyed Warrior too - probably in my top 5 from last year. Great to see that you got Firefly on Blu-ray and what a great deal. That set is so expensive most of the time, not sure why though. That was a great deal on the Poltergeist Blu-ray book too - I like that set. Great vid as always - thumbs up!
@cynical44 Thanks Clinton, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was really excited to watch movies again coming back from the fast and I also had a bunch of stuff to show from before the fast. That's why this update was so long. I'm doing the same thing in regards to Alfred Hitchcock films. I have a lot of them that I need to watch and show in future updates. I think next months update will have at least 4 of them (not counting multiple editions of the same films).
The whole MAD MEN thing... was basically just negotiations between the show's creator and AMC... it's pretty much happened every season... this time it just took longer. A lot of it having to do with the fact that AMC now has THE WALKING DEAD. However season 5 of MAD MEN IS in production and it starts airing in March.
@Nissehultan Like I said in the video, a lot of these were things that I watched before my fast (pre-October). I just never had a chance to show any of them until now.
Larry Crowne looks very good! huge tom hanks fan as well! I as well don't care for cedric the entertainer or julia roberts lol. 3 of my fav tom hanks films are the burbs and league of their own...forrest gump as well! What's your favorite superman film? mine is the 2nd one! :) loved the 3 krypton villians! Planes, trains and automobiles is histarical! it's on bluray! :) Beetlejuice is fricken awesome! Great update robbie! :)
@Ggould1975 I'm glad you enjoyed Larry Crowne as well. I love Tom Hanks. I think my top 3 are 1 - Forrest Gump, 2 - Saving Private Ryan and 3 - Apollo 13...I did a video about my top 15 Tom Hanks films, but I think I'm going to re-film it because I left some out that I want in the top 15. My favorite Superman film was the first one.
Ok quick comment before I watch it all, very surprised you liked Attack the Block! I loved it, and yeah, definitely not on Shaun of the Dead level. My fiancee hated it with a passion, because of the way the kids talked and because they mugged the main character at the beginning, plus kids like that are very common here in the UK and aren't that nice lol. Good movie though!
@RazorwireReviews I didn't feel as much of an attachment to the kids as I would've liked (because of their behavior), but at the same time I was very happy that they were trying something different with their main characters.
@2009MovieWatcher Yep, I thought that might be the case. I don't know why, but for some reason always used to think it was. Pretty sure they won best animated film.
Awesome update man, I don't think I saw one movie in this update I didn't like. Very good taste in films bro. I was gonna ask you the other day (but I forgot) if you've seen 'The Grey' yet. If you haven't, I highly recommend it. Have a good one man.
Holy cow, can't wait for this update! (Will watch it later when I have time) Great idea to put in film information! (Just hope you didn't have to type it out five times, heh) Can't wait to see your thoughts on Warrior, Attack the Block, the Superman films and many more from the list! :)
@RazorwireReviews Thankfully I saved it in a word processor before the upload failed so I only typed it once. I did have to leave out the TV shows though. I didn't realize there was a character limit. I think I'm going to try to shorten it so I can throw in a few links that I wanted to include.
Great update!! The Willy Wonka set is fantastic and the 1001 films book is really cool!! I haven't seen Warrior, Rushmore or The Machinist but I will, sounds good! I liked Larry Crown, Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors also! I love Firefly and Serenity, i'm thinking about buying the Firefly set :) I used to watch Boy Meets World, really funny!! I have to watch Arrested Development, it sounds so good and I like the actors :) Wow! 45 minutes video... how long did it took to upload?
@WonderBooks I'm glad to meet a fellow Tom Hanks fan. You will definitely enjoy Arrested Development, I just wish it was more than three seasons long. It took me around 9 or 10 hours to upload. The upload failed 4 times before finally working on the 5th attempt.
Very nice looking book;) thanks for the tips i have to update that one ,mine is like 10 years old already :( Also thanks to put all the movies in the Description this video is way too long haha
@bla87 Well I have moral standards just like anyone, there are a lot of things that I don't want to do simply because I feel it's wrong. When I see violence in a movie I don't get any desire to commit violence in the real world. However, when I see nudity it might make me have impure thoughts, which is something that I don't want to do. Does that make sense?
@robbiewwebster That makes sense, and I wasn't criticizing you or anything (not sure how it came off); it just annoys me when people over react to human flesh while they're desensitized to acts that actually harm someone.
Example: The newer James Bond movies get a PG-13 ratting with double digit body counts, and violence that's mild to a point where it undermines the horrors that violence creates. Meanwhile, a single piece of anatomy will earn an R ratting, when the human body hurts no one.
Great update..Loved The Langoliers growing up.yeah the special effects are terrible,. Jackie brown is one of my favorites..the Machinist is great, crazy how skinny bale got for that role.
@SiilentMiike Yeah!!! I love this shirt! I don't know if you could see the whole thing at any point during the video. It shows Green Goblin lying unconscious while Spider-man stands over him...haha
@robbiewwebster No problem...I know how great of a show it is, looking forward to the 5th season myself! Their's a movie called "The Wild Geese" that's either come out on blu-ray already or is to be released soon...GREAT soldiers of fortune type flick with Richard Burton, Richard Harris, & Roger Moore.
I've been dying to see Awakenings for a long time, I love Robin Williams and Robert De Niro, just waiting for a UK Blu-ray release but it doesn't seem to be coming any time soon :( Everybody's Fine sounds like a good film.
