I know firsthand about nationalized healthcare. My wife came here from Canada, and her family still lives there. She has been a registered Nurse for almost 20 years and has worked as an RN in Canada and the U.S. Their system is sorely lacking in providing timely and sufficient healthcare.
More than 2 years ago one of her brothers-in-law was diagnosed with atrial fibrulation. Hasn't seen a cardiologist yet. Another friend woke up paralyzed. 8 weeks later they did a CT scan. Too late..

I never said Bush was a good president, and I hope Barack does a wonderful job as president, but all the things he said during his campaign were just terrible, ignorant, dribble. His statement about the surge not working, was flat out wrong for example. I suppose he is a very smart person, but economically, as he exhibited on the campaign trail, he fails. His statements after being elected about reviewing all of his options did give me hope though, maybe he won't instate the tax code he proposed

Well just remember your people alone did not build this country. It is legal immigrants that actually make the U.S. what it is today. Ok and like I said before Africa is not just a place we can go and fix just because we are black.All we can do is send money to charities and shelters in Africa. Yeah... raise minumum wage so wal mart workers get $8 an hour... and then bread goes up a dollar a loaf and milk goes up another dollar a gallon... the local mom and pop store can't hire anyone new because they can't afford to pay a high school kid or someone without a degree $8 an hour to stock shelves. gas goes up because the station has to pay the guy workin the register more and before you know it, everything's back to the status quo... The reason our economy is in the shitter is a Democratic congress that forced us to irresponsibly loosen up lending practices because "everybody should be able to buy a home". Great conceptually, horrible in practice. Also, Clinton was forced to clean out wasteful spending with the welfare reform acts because he had a Republican leaning congress and senate.
