Almost 39 percent of the 45.7 million uninsured live in: FL, TXs, New Mexico, AZ & CA-entry points for immigrants. 9.7 million are not citizens. actually, i read an excerpt from naked economics which referenced an article from the economist (a pro-freemarket magazine) observing that because we are becoming so unhealthy, and thus pushing up the cost that insurance companies must bear to provide care, health insurance may become unprofitable. They can only raise rates so far. At that point, if you want healthcare, you might just have to settle for second-rate public care from the government. It wouldn't be an issue but a reality.

They can only raise their rates so much. Like it or not, government provided second-rate care could become the only option. I want you to be prepared for that possiblity.
