In the Philippines, we never hate Christmas b/c it's also our Thanksgiving and Halloween in one day. Instead of the big feast on Thanksgiving, we have it on the 24th. We do have Halloween, but trick-or-treating isn't popular. Instead, children go caroling on X-mas eve and are given change (usually for candy) by the houses they visit. On top of that, the country is mostly catholic, hence the birth of Jesus is widely celebrated. Then there are the other usuals: Santa, gifts, decorations, etc...
