Took me a little while to find out that Gary Foster is the soloist on Madeleine Peyroux's version of The Summer Wind. It's one of the most perfect solo's I ever heard in my life. It's on her Half The Perfect World CD. It's unreal...sublime....wayyyyy up there.

Is there some requirement that if your gonna be a guy and play trombone you have to be fat because the majority of you guys are huge, you deff don't need to be I've seen a super small girls that are amazing and have a hugesound so whats the deal?

There is only one Gary Foster!!! He does everything well, and produces one of the greatest, prettiest sounds on the alto saxophone. All this only surpassed by the kind of person he is. Jazz needs more like him.

I completely agree with you! His playing is very beautiful and his personality is great! We do need more people like him, he is the best of the best at what he does.
