  • I mean't there are other birds that are in major extinction issues.

  • @Khalore Dude you think these birds are becoming extinct?Seriously? There not in that category thought they are endangered.Just look at the Spix's Macaw and the Seychelles Magpie Robin. There are less then 100 of them.Only 80-90 Spix's Macaws and less than 50 Seychelles Magpie Robins. The Blue Macaw is a beautiful bird. All birds are beautiful. But there are birds that are major extinction issues.

  • These are hyacinth macaws. It is true they are an endangered species with roughly 10,000 world wide. There numbers have been holding some what steady thanks in part to a ban on capture and importing/exporting these wonderful creatures, and also in part to private owners. There is an estimated 55-60% living with private owners that adopt captive hatched babies.

  • Wow some people are just mean. How could you take one of these beautiful birds from the wild, stuff them in a crate and ship them off to a country to be sold. I'm glad it's illegal now, but people are still taking them. I'm donating to charity and if you have some spare money, please donate.

  • that is blu

  • ya its blu

  • they're gorgeous but not what i expected, was anyone else thinking blue cockatoo when they saw rio lols

its a bit like finding nemo, once the movie came out everyone wants one, in my opinion they sorta didnt get the message of the movies, they're endangered, help saving dont promote the buying, or snatching :( those birdies are beautiful by the way :P

  • @AnimeLoverForever16 it's illegal to buy birds that come from the outside. the ones being sold by breeders are born in captivity :)

  • @creepygirl94 id imagine its ilegal, im just saying it doesnt stop people doing it u know. so sad how alot of birds are stolen from breeders or the wild, literally ripped from the nest :P thanks

  • These are actually called Hyacinth macaws so everyone knows :-) They are one of the most sought after as pets but their numbers in the wild are decreasing. Please do not support the capturing of these amazing animals. If you want a bird, go to a rescue center.
