  • This one is SICK dude!!!

Keep up de work. Great job

  • way on top of that beat. cool lead line tho

  • do you ever wish you had more than 2 hands ?

  • Can someone please tell me how to program the m-audio trigger finger like skrillex does plz??????

  • @homelesspimps you dont really program your hard/software the way someone else does... just play around with it and do what feels right, but if you still want help, ive observed he uses the forst knob as a crossfader and relies on the beat repeat software in his live sets

  • @GNRule123 ya true, i just want to be able to do what he does when i play live, im just affraid to program it wrong, and then not be able to change it back

  • @homelesspimps Oh dont worry the way you "program it" is my MIDI mapping it in Ableton which is easilly reverseable and easilly mapped due to it being a great bit of kit...

for more info i'd recommend searching ableton MIDI mapping in youtube.

And dont forget trial and error is the best way of learning and developing your own style and flair

(i know i wrote a lot and im sorry if its hard to read so i paragraphed it but i just wanted to fill you in as much as possible on this topic) :)

  • @GNRule123 haha thanks, this will help, and i appreciate you spending the time to help :) it helps a lot

  • いいなこれ

  • man you're incredible

  • damn that is banging!!! im getting oneeee

  • Awesome!

I made a beat Live with Ableton, check out my video by clicking on my nickname ;)

  • the dude has no rhythm O.o ! feels like he's experimenting as he goes along !

  • @xxCrimsonSpiritxx

you sir are the definition of NOOB.

  • @MRRJD2 and you sir can SUCK MY BALLS

  • @xxCrimsonSpiritxx

    hahaha well said :]

  • @xxCrimsonSpiritxx That's because he is experimenting as he goes along. The musical word is IMPROVISATION!!!! -_-

  • @novamusiclive dude u dont even know what is the definition of improvisation ... cuz if u did you would be able to understand what i meant

  • @novamusiclive dude u dont even know the definition of improvising, i figured that cuz i KNOW how it is to improvise and that dude is improvising-NOT :) deal with it bitch and stop busting my balls for layin my opinion .. THIS IS AMERICA FOR FUCK SAKE!

  • @xxCrimsonSpiritxx Improvising is experimenting. You can't always be perfectly in time and key when you improvise, if someone shouts 'SOLO' in the middle of a song you just have to play with character and hope that a little bit of skill helps it sound good :P You can't flame this guy for being out of rhythm, he's making this jam up on the spot and personally I think it's frickin' awesome so stop having a go at everyone.

PS I'm English not American so it makes no difference.

  • Nice job! I was wondering, which software do you use to create your samples like the double bass and the keys from the intro?

  • ey bro, i'm thinking of getting one, how are the pads/ sensitivity on this bad boy?

    Thanks!

  • Great stuff man! im eyeing that M-Audio Trigger Finger, I wanted to get the native instruments maschine but this thing is a quater of the price, but idk the capabilities that well yet

  • @mrfu294 well man, i just got mine in the mail today and i am having one hell of a time setting it up... im running on win 7 64 bit and cannot find the proper drivers for it... its getting pretty frustrating

  • @mrfu294 they also dont make trigger fingers anymore, have to find them on ebay and/or local ads. ive got one and i'll be keeping it as long as i can.

  • thats some dope shit bro

  • do you need an interface to dj with trigger finger

  • hats off

  • m-audio damm getting equipment just savin for the tables!

  • nice flow K5 im gonna be getting an Ableton the beats are endless!! nice piece yo!

  • props. ur better than the rest..

  • yea, for live they are better, for recording it doesn't matter 'cuz you can quantize and rearrange etc. but that was why i was suggesting this guy start messing with some drums - it seems like he's trying to do a live thing, and it looks like its something he could pick up. i totally agree with all your points, groove machines included (and not limiting to hip hop either).

  • All most in time.

  • That is truly impressive. How do you programme the Trigger Finger to play/start loops?

  • making beats is lame and takes no skill. i wanna hear people who can make SONGS.

  • @t1mTV and what are you signed to?

  • @maxmaxmax1337 your mothers virgin asshole.

  • @t1mTV well if you thought making beats is lame why would you be looking at a video that has "ableton" and "trigger finger" in the title lolz

  • @t1mTV

    I make songs.

  • @t1mTV put your money where your mouth is...if you think making quality beats takes no skill then you obviously have NO IDEA what you're talking about it's all good though baby girl come back when you have something of value to add to the equation ya dig? ;-D

  • @DoctorSess /watch?v=9BOG4p1-H2Q

  • which softwaare do you use for your trigger finger ??

    i take reason

  • Ok no worries its just my opinion I wouldn't loose sleep over it!! I HAVE A ROLAND X8 and I produce on that and its all my own stuff. I was just making a point thats all, I true one!!!

  • this is some wiseguys shittt

  • Cara manda muito

  • ummm corney

  • what song is that ?

  • Great button pressing once again from another person using othere people's music!!!!!

  • @MrRicksym kindly fuck off

  • @ithinkimjoe69 Lol the truth hurts eh?

  • @MrRicksym

Let's see you do better, eh?

  • @MrRicksym you can be ignorant. yes it's button pressing. yes it's using other peoples music. but you don't understand, just because you know the basics of something doesn't mean you can judge it. alot of people love jazz and hip hop so when it's made into one track, it can mean alot to that person.

  • Dude, would you be willing to email me and talk me through how to setup all of my equipment to my laptop? I own similar equipment as you, such as the trigger finger, turntables, M-Audio O2 keyboard, and I also own the Hercules RMX dj console, but I would like to purchase Ableton Live, however, won't until I know I can hook up my hardware to my laptop. Could you help? I'd like to be as creative as you!

  • Fuckin dope man! I'm planning on getting myself one on fridayyy! Stoked

  • love ur beat dude... feel want listen again n again

  • dope!!!

  • nice flip

  • crazyyyyyy realllllllllllllllllll crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy have fun and good luckkkk

    thats very amazing

  • I like the background chord progression, but the guitar lick, and actually everything apart from the the drums and chords sounds vaguely annoying.

The second part sounded a bit better...and is that a guitar pedal there? Quite a nice idea, which one is it? o.o

  • respect from Oz

  • i love you dude

  • respect dude!!

  • What mixer is that? looks pretty nice.

  • nice mix

  • this is ill

  • omg this is way kewl =D keep em coming dude u rock !

  • hey bro i can recording samples of any song on the trigger fingger??

  • @miguelitopegueros the trigger finger is midi controller which means u can control software with it and yes if u load any song on the software you are useing u can play smaples from any songs as long as u map it on the trigger finger i personaly dont own one but i know a fair bit about so if u have any questions ask me

  • this sounds cool

  • das ist richtig geil cooooooooooooool

  • nice timing you got there

  • 5*

    This video is pure win.

  • since ur basically just playing finger drums with a few triggered samples, why don't you just get a midi drum kit with a sample pad? you could do a lot more simultaneous sampling and it would be much tighter. it would look a lot cooler than finger punching too, and you would be much more of a real musician... you got the rhythm and understand whats going on, it would just take a little while to get used to playing drums. you've come this far already, why not push it?

    just a suggestion.

  • @evanomics youre dumb

@K5fromTRIGGER5 but anyway sweet samples.. any advice on where to find them? :)

  • @Shawnku00 not at all dude.

  • Comment removed

  • @evanomics alright then send me a beat with an electronic kit. then send me the samples and ill make it sound better fingering it. it's not about looking like a "real musician" or whatever term you used, its about the sound

  • @Shawnku00 my point isn't as much about being a 'real musician' then it is more about what you are getting at - the sound. There are many techniques and sounds performed on drums that cannot be replicated with fingers. For example: playing in a deep pocket, playing fills, or even a drum roll. Using a drum pad to do a drum roll with a 909 snare cannot be replicated using finger triggers. If you want a finger drum challenge, try playing 'Steely Dan - Babylon Sisters' drum part with your fingers.

  • @Shawnku00 You might also want to check out Booka Shade - they do some cool stuff with live electronic drums. And honestly if you ask any drummer, they will tell you it's ludicrous to suppose that you could replicate the sound, feel, and subtlety achieved on a real set with finger drumming, where it is probably easier to play much of what you do with finger drumming on a real drum set.

I'm not attacking you, just stating my opinion, so no need to call me any names. Let's keep it civil.

  • @evanomics so what's ur point...?

it's obvious that real drums recorded in a studio will sound better than the ""computer" ones BUT the regular hip hop producer ( like me) can't afford live recorded drums for every beat he makes....

i am tired of people dissin hip hop for samplin and drum machines i mean that's the way we do it...our music started in a ghetto where cats couldn't afford all types of fancy instruments ....they had only the sampler but they managed to make DOPE music

  • u miss my point. i am not dissing samplers or drum machines. finger drumming (esp. live) typically sounds like crap and is extremely limited. electronic drums are about the same price as a sampler now, and samplers were far more expensive than drums when they first came out. My point is that this dude's beats would sound better if he just bought even a minimal kit, as he already has a basically enough understanding to play them. hip hop started from looping breaks records, not finger drumming..

  • @evanomics and u think that samplers are only used for drums...??

for sample based beats u wud assign each chop to a diffirent electronic drum..?

can u imagine that? 1st chop = kick 2nd chop = closed hihat ( omg i forgot to close it)....

yes hip hop started from looping breaks but as soon they got some samplers they sampled these breaks and rearranged the drums to their preference....

P.S. this guy is using a midi controller not a sampler

  • @PaPo0Se546 i know samplers are used for a lot of things besides drums - i have multiple samplers, drum machines etc. yes, you would assign each chop to a pad. and yes, i know this guy is using a midi controller. I also know they used keyboard sequencers before samplers. I'm not arguing any of that, I love all that shit. All I'm saying is that live finger drumming sounds dumb, and if you're gonna do live sample drumming(especially single samples), might as well go all out. It looks cooler too

  • @evanomics i agree that for LIVE use the midi drum kits in these videos are better....

i think that the main reason that ppl don't use them is that pads are cheaper....

and of course becuz finger drumming is easier.....

and btw ( basically i just wanted to say it ) GROOVE MACHINES ARE GAY.....drum samplers is real hip hop....

  • @PaPo0Se546 youtube search for "Live drum n bass drumming with midi percussion" or video ID "TnobY0IKB2k" to get an idea (they wont let me post the full link)

  • @evanomics also Dual Rock Band Midi Drum Kit in Reason 4 Demo is tight

  • whoah!....you got something there,carry on K5

  • how have you set everything out? how have u gto your trigger finger going into the mixer? isnt it a midi out or USB?

  • yeah!!! Very cool!

  • pretty rad man, i'm diggin it. i like that sax and clean guitar sample

  • cool samples

i'm probably gonna buy that m-audio triggerfinger looks pretty cool

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah blame the device that you didn't know how to use.

  • wat ya mean i dont now how to use it????lol its just a midi controller anybody can use it im just saying that the mpc is better than it cuz the mpc has sounds in the machine it self ..

  • thats not what makes the mpc better. i have infinitely more sounds on my desktop hard drive than on my mpc. you can use a trigger finger quickly and easily with something like ableton, so in that respect its better than an MPC. its apples and oranges. different hardware for different things. surely making music is about using whatever method you are most comfortable with to get the best possible end result?

  • you can use your mpc to control ableton, i can do it on my 4000 and any mpc with midi put (ie all of 'em) should be able to if you know a bit about midi

  • well yeah, but trigger fingers are usb so its quicker and easier and tailor made for working with DAWs.

anyway, thats not the point i was trying to make, the point i was trying to make is that trigger fingers and mpcs are similar but ultimately different hardware with different uses and places in a setup, so comparing them on face value is unfair.

  • Can you send CC messages using the sliders & knobs?

  • no it doesn't. well, not any that you should ever actually use (if ur talking stock sounds). the machine itself has a somewhat distinct sound but yeah.... easily emulated

  • can you just plug it into an audio mixer?

  • no and thats why its bad cuz its just a midi controller

  • One of my fave Youtube vids

  • nice 1

  • love this jam, keep comin bak for more!

  • Good Stuff!

  • nice bro

  • I love all the haters, what a clasik! most of these bitches are watching cause they either 1.) They have an MPC or MPD and suck ass 2.) wish they were good!

what a clasik, good shit bro!

great shit man. really nice flo.

  • no it isn't

    it's similar but slightly different

  • how's the song at the beginning called? or is it something he made up?

  • It's part of a loops pack.

  • do you know how it's called??
