Makes me think...it's just too bad that the rules for rallying changed before Ferrari and Porsche could really get their feet wet in there. The 959 and the 288 GTO, later the F40, would have seen rally conditions.
If it weren't for the meddling WRC rulesmakers cutting horsepower for safety and not increasing safety measures for the cars themselves, these cars would have really gone racing and we'd see unique ice monsters indeed.
With those tires and studs any car would do just fine.

@RRVCrinale the 288 would never have gone rallying, its design was for group b track racing, but i know what u mean, the WRC is today very poor
