  • Poor Cookie Monster

  • Poor Ernie

  • This Is From Sesame Park

  • nooo!

  • 01:54 "The doorbell!" ~ Ummm...if it wasn't the phone because Bert would have answered it, wouldn't it stand to reason that it couldn't be the doorbell either for the SAME reason?

  • Jeez. If you are old enough to remember this...........then watch with happiness.

The good old days. When we were young.

  • does he say "Cuddly fucking pillow"?

  • MAJOR ROFL at the end! XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • for all those times Ernie woke up Bert! LOL

  • Think of how many kids saw this sketch and started stealing and eating pillows.

  • i bet the pupet performers had a good laugh after this one. expecaly when cookie gose wooo hoo at the end

  • It didn't matter whether Frank Oz was doing Ernie or Cookie Monster, he was always great when teamed with Jim Henson as Ernie.

  • @its4it I presume you mean "it didn't matter whether Frank Oz was doing BERT or cookie monster".

And yes, I agree completely. You can also see the same chemistry in the cookie monster and kermit sketches.

  • @athull08 You're right. I meant Bert.

  • well, ernie always wakes up bert in the middle of the night to talk to him, so i guess now he knows how it feels to constantly be woken up at night.

  • Ernie certainly is restless while tucking himself in, heh?

  • cookie monster got high on pillow stuffing

  • Why is Cookie Monster even IN Ernie's bedroom?!?!

  • Why is cookie saying "I" instead of "me"??!!

  • Old clip

  • HOW TO KNOW A HIPPO

  • Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding!!

  • oh pillow, oh pillow, oh fluffy -- lol

  • Cookie monster: I have half RIP! and you have half! lol

    poor ernie.

  • Does anyone have the skit where The Beautiful Day Monster steals Bert's Cookies?

If someone does, please be sure to upload it for me and everyone else.

  • In addition, could someone please upload the skit of Bert's "What Happens Next?" game?

  • fishminnow, I don't know if you've seen it by now, but that was Cookie whole stole Bert's cookies.

  • this sketch was always a little to weird for me.

  • Forget "Why have you got my pillow?", "How and why did you come into my house?".

  • prety damn funny

  • yay

  • This one was always a little to weird for me.

  • I love Cookie's melt-down when Ernie snatches the pillow back. You wouldn't normally think of Cookie as someone who chucks a tanty!

  • It looks like they having a pillow fight. 2:36

  • I don't think that's what Ernie had in mind when he suggested he share his pillow with Cookie Monster.

  • Man oh man, does he ever need to switch to sugar free cookies...

  • serves ernie right for picking on bert!

  • Comment removed

  • He's enjoying that pillow a little TOO much...

  • ya i no i liked when cookie monster cames on i started to laugh.

  • nice big cuddly soft fluffy pillow.

  • I felt so bad for Ernie when cookie and him did skits together..poor Ernie!

Ya know I wonder if Bert put cookie up to it because Bert would always get the raw deal with Ernie, just a thought!

    Luv these classics!

    Memories!

  • @ClarkieandStephen Not impossible. What goes around comes around.

  • "I want the pillow! I want the pillow!!"

Now that is gaspingly funny. I used to know someone who I can easily picture acting that way.

  • He can be such a baby.

  • I'll say. But while we're on the subject, and since it's April, I'll talk about how I just recently thought a clever April Fools joke that Cookie Monster could play on Ernie. He could shout "Me eat Rubber Duckie!", grab it from Ernie, and turn away from him. But instead of eating it, he reveals to the viewers that he has a cookie with him and eats that instead. Then he would turn to Ernie, laugh and say "April Fools!", and give him his Duckie back.

  • @Garrettk41 Did you ever submit it to the producers of SESAME STREET?

  • No, it was just a whimsical thought. Not one I intended to actually see made. I can tell you already, that sort of thing would never be shown on the current Sesame Street.

  • ok slepp with me sweetheart i love you so much

  • Bert should've left an extra pillow for Cookie Monster to use rather than having Ernie tear his pillow apart and giving one half to Cookie Monster. What do you think?

  • This was in the time before Cookie Monster was named. I wonder if they eventually gave him the name Cookie Monster because too many kids thought that he was the monster under their bed? This clip would have substanciated their theory!

  • NEVER Share a Pillow With a Tazmanian Devil...

    ...Or Whatever Cookie Monster is.

  • ...Y'know it's probably better that Cookie Monster have it, with THAT sort of reaction. If Ernie kept it from him any longer he would have tore his arm off.

  • Hey Vorhias, you know what I'm going to do with this video... :)

  • Three Time Cookie Monster Rang The Bell. At 0:44

And 1:17 And Last 1:49 This Is So Cool! Nice

    Review.

  • om nom nom

  • Learn to spell and grow up a bit more before making such comments sweetheart.

  • Nuuuuu not the pillow! RAAAAA.....

  • Haddino Hippo.

  • I don't know how the people filming Cookie Monster ever kept their laughter under control. xD

  • Talk about having your feathers ruffled! LOL!

  • Ernie gets violent when it comes to his pillow.

  • CBC is a well respected television station.

  • They dubbed over the bell...with a bell? Why?

  • This was on CBC (see logo at bottom right); I loved the cookie monster back in the day before he was actually named the cookie monster. At this point in time I think he was just a glutton who variably ate and /or destroyed everything (see Kermit's rectangle lect.).

  • I have never seen this before. But it reminds me of the cupcake clip.

  • Why the Hell is Cookie Monster even in Ernie's House anyway.

  • @rko6195 You can always find a monster under your bed. Cookie is the monster who lives under Ernie's bed.

  • baby shark we share pillow!!!! eat eat!!!! ohh fluffy!!!!!

  • Oooooh. Nice big cuddly, Soft fluffy Pillow

  • Memory flash. Even as a kid I thought the Blue Fuzzy Cookie Muncher was acting especially psycho in this skit

  • Here. You take half. RIP and me take half. YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM

  • 1969

  • cookie monsters B&E lol ernie call the police

  • Look at Ernie's arm at 2:02

  • So?

  • Well, at least Cookie was willing to share. Speaking of which, does anyone have Ernie and Cookie singing a song about sharing Cookies and Milk?

  • Ernie sings that song with Elmo.

  • Not originally. That was a remake. Elmo, in turn, sang it with Zoe as well. I'm looking for the original rendition from the eighties.

  • everytime Ernie gets in bed his hand comes out out of nowhere to pull the covers up

  • lol look at Ernie's startled and shaking face at 01:51-01:53

  • Aaah The door bell The door bell Must be the door bell I'll go answer the door bell

humming Nobody was at the door

  • One time Cookie & Herry were fighting over a bicycle ("No Herry, ME bicycle!" that was sooo funny!) and Kermit came strolling along & suggested that they SHARE the bicycle. I think you can guess what happened subsequently.

  • Yeah, where is that skit? It would be nice if we could see it again.

  • Im gonna do that to my pillow now.

  • Somebody put enhanced bell sounds over the original bell!

  • LOLOL!! CM goin insane the pillow..awesome!

  • So Ernie comes back to his bed to find a blue monster! Yet doesn't seem concerned!

    Balls of steel that dude!

  • OMG my childhood lol

  • The Cookie Monster will devour anthing. I will go back to my soft fluffy pillow so funny.

  • No he doesen't

  • Im scared of cookie monster now *hides pillow behind back* *WHISPERS* you rock cookie!! *thumbs up*

  • The way Cookie Monster said: "OHHOOHHOOHHH! PILLOW! OOH! FLUFFY! ME WANT PILLOOOOOW!!! OOOH! FLUFFY PILLOW!!! HAHAHA! PILLOW!!!" Reminded me SO much of my brother! LOL :D

  • Cookie monster would eat anything LOL

  • 100% true story - I was four years old when I saw this sketch, and I thought it looked like so much fun that I decided to rip apart my OWN feather pillow and toss it around my room! My mom was AGHAST! And also really pissed at SS for this skit. Months later I was still digging feathers out of the carpet in my room.

  • Me, I wasn't thrilled with this skit at all. I felt bad for Ernie. Also, I saw no reason to ever rip a pillow up. I'd get in pillow fights and they never ended in a shower of feathers like all the ones on TV did.

  • I want the pillow! I want the pillow! Oooh! The pillow! ....The Pillow. Cookie monster is funny.

  • Only time he used the correct pronoun "I", instead of "Me" (Me want pillow!)>

  • I agree. Today, Cookie Monster starts saying "me", not "I". Cookie Monster saying "me" is annoying. In the future, the word "me" is not the correct way to say it. Since it is for preschool children, I guess they made Cookie Monster to say, "me". Some preschool children does not know about the correct pronoun. I like Cookie Monster when he uses the correct pronoun. Him saying "me" tries to understand preschool children.

  • Oy Givalt, first Cookies, and now he likes to eat pillows?

  • Now the real question to ask, is what Cookie was doing in the house...

  • That's cute! ^^ I love Cookie Monster! ^^

  • I love Cookie Monster!

  • Guess there's some catnip or something in that pillow that made Cookie Monster go bonkers.... So lesson kids... drugs bad :) Thanks for posting! A classic!

  • Cookie monster would eat anything LOL. I don't think a pillow would taste to good. LOL

  • i dont thing i want to sleep on my pillow for a while.

  • Comment removed

  • crazy again.. i watch it everyday and laugh! ehhe :)

  • That is so awesome... Ohhh I want the pillow I want the pillowwwwww!

    Cookie monster rulz

  • Sweet, give it up for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). I always watched SS on the CBC, TV Ontario, or PBS. I had all my SS channels memorised. lol

  • Woo! TVO. xD

  • lol

  • Strange skit, I think.

Mostly Cookie Monster doesn't eat things, because he likes to eat them, but either to get cookies (Ernie's safe, Princess and the pea...) or because he is psyched.

  • I guess monsters really do live under the bed

  • He is Pillow Monster!

  • Somewhat of a rarity here...one of the few times (maybe the only time?) that Cookie Monster uses the grammatically correct "I" instead of the Tarzan-like "me" at the start of a sentence.

  • mmmmmm softy pillow :)

  • hahaha! so ernie finaly gets a taste of his own medicine! i think Bert probably set him up...

  • Bert:That'll teach Ernie to wake me up in the middle of the night

  • It doesn't matter how many times I watch this segment, I am completely unable to keep from laughing out loud. The comic timing in this is brilliant, Jim and Frank are both completely on point.

  • dont eat cookies, u will become dipendent by it :)

  • Comment removed

  • CBS maybe?

  • No CBC, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, which showedc the Canadaian edits of our SS.

  • I want the pillow! I want the pillow! Whaaaaahhhaaaaa! The pillow! That's a classic!!!!

  • Cookie made a mess!!!!

  • Wow... If you don't watch the screen while Cookie's eating the pillow it really sounds like he's being intimate!

  • I love the way Ernie hurls himself on the bed and his shrieks of surprise every time Cookie rings the bell. You left us too soon, Jim Henson!

  • ahahahahahahahah cookie monster is so awsome lol

  • he is indeed!!!!

  • another great early episode of Sesame Street with Ernie and Cookie Monster

  • maybe cookie monster came in through, the bathroom window. like the beatles song.

  • Comment removed

  • He must've came through the door while nobody was looking and hid under the bed.

Moral of the story is don't let Cookie Monster get within 10 feet of your pillow.

  • Comment removed

  • how did Cookie Monster get in Ernie's bedroom? ;D

  • I have no idea. Maybe he came through the door and hid under the bed.
