  • Thank you for posting this amazing set of moments in our history, and especially poignant and provocative for those among us who look around ourselves as we live each day of our lives, and remember in increasing contrast to the level of public discourse today, the conversation quality and the near-dauntless hopefulness of that environment when we were quite young, near-teenagers, teenagers, college students, or recent college graduates at the time these events unfolded.

    It is a wonder that

  • Love his speech! RIP

  • Great man - he upset a few people who - if they didn't exactly have him killed - then rejoiced when he was slain. Ever seen Nixon arriving at his funeral?

  • This blow took us off track to Nixon, Watergate, Ford, Carter, and Reagan. I think we'd been much better off in a parallel universe, whether Humphrey or Kennedy had won the presidency. For one, my favorite justice, William Brennan, would have replaced Earl Warren as chief justice on the Supreme Court, instead of Warren Earl Burgerbrains!

  • Rose Kennedy was a tough old bird.

  • They ought to take Sirhan out of his cell and just though him into a hole somewhere.

  • @proferic How about throw him off a high building and stop using taxpayers' money to keep the wretch alive? Every 5 June, I think of that day in 1968, the people who walked around with transistor radios, and then I think, Sirhan is STILL alive?

  • what could have been . . . .

  • Bobby....the real gem, I still miss him terribly after all these years

  • that was a nice compilation video. i enjoyed it.
