People create structures and institutions not because there is some bad conspiracy around and not because there are some bad bad guys aspiring to rule. People create institutions because they are people. Put them on an uninhabited island, and in a couple of years you will see a nice state there.
There are several possible explanations for this. My favorite two are (see my next post).
Power is neutral, leadership is limited. The workers -sometimes- can be leaders, but most often are only good at the limited areas in which they are good at.
also MOST CORPORATIONS WHICH YOU OPPOSE SO VEHEMENTLY- ARE -INVISIBLE
-NOT OPPRESSIVE
-PROVIDE AND GUARANTEE JOBS TO THOSE WHO CANNOT EMPLOY THEMSELVES.
what you are really opposing is CORRUPT corporations, and those that take advantage of their workers.
@dtwilson Tell me one thing... why there are ones that cannot employ themselfs, and there are the ones who CAN employ them. You can say... yeah they create the means of poduction... Propably. But why the hell, the employer wouldnt have anything to say about the process of creation of means of production? Why?
@WujekNiemaBycCCPRady Why do some people take their money and start a business and other people take their money and purchase material things? Why do some businesses (many in fact) just barely turn a profit- and even then only because the owner of this small business is frugal and economical? While the energy sector rakes in billions?
If 100% of the profit were split amongst the workers, how much should/would the business grow to meet the job demands of a future growing population?
@dtwilson you say: If 100% of the profit were split amongst the workers, how much should/would the business grow to meet the job demands of a future growing population?
I never said the profit should be redistribute. The profit shouldn't be a logic of its own like its now. Its totally devastating logic. The main goal should be the benefit of the people and cooperatives rather then the individual consumption for the long-term benefits. The logic of profit is a short-term benefit-not for future.
@dtwilson Why do some people take their money and start a business and other people take their money and purchase material things?
Thats a good question. The one answer that come to mind are a lack of technology, because of the patterns. The other answer is because of the market flood of cheap products. Some others involve evading the taxes by a large companies and many many others monopolistic logic. Not to mention the social aspect of a status based on material things, and a need of entertain
That only the synergy could be allowed in the stabile capitalistic society and that means a lot of predefined market chances that rewards a conformism and predefined roles that creates unequal chances. And the other thing, you undervalue the spirit of free labor that makes enjoyment, you dont have to be intelligent for that. What intelligence comes by is when you need to use your own comformity and comformity of the others.
@dtwilson People don'y employ themselfs for some reasons rather then their lacks. They just can't compete cause that require some kind of conformity is the rules of the game. Labor shouldn't be the subject of simply adjusting on the market, especcialy while the market is made and design by the market specialists. Labour should be a creative process... I can agree with you that not every person is a creative person, but the drive of profit kills the creativity process by a large margin.
I just watched the whole thing, very well done my good sir! I have seen most of the footage before, but you have managed to use it in a way that it does not feel repetetive within the context of the film. A very good introduction to anarchism, I plan on showing it to my statist step dad. Thank you!

There are several possible explanations for why people create hierarchies. My favorite two are:
1) States and hierarchies are emerging structures: in a multi-agent system governed by local rules a state is what you end up with.
2) People organising themselves and creating a state is archetypal behavior.
Nice videos though :-)

Why can't everyone employ themselves?
-because some people aren't intelligent enough to do so.
-some don't have the vision, knowledge, drive, or leadership- to manage employees or a department.
-some people don't have the wise business sense to make sure they collect more $ every month/year from their customers then they pay out in expenses.
- some people wouldn't know what to make/provide/distribute to society - even if they were given the resources to do so.

@dtwilson You dismiss 2 things:

And the other thing, you undervalue the spirit of free labor that makes enjoyment, you dont have to be intelligent for that.
