  • Good choice, the bare airframe kit is the only way to build these kits into well flying and reliable RC planes. The electronics otherwise included with these kits is garbage.

  • @33vortex Great question

Not really you can order the model with everything in it or a bare airframe I just like puting my own things in this kit the electronics is good out of the box I just wanted to hop it up, Thanks for stopping by and visiting good luck on your choices..Tim

  • @TinkerManRC I have a Su47 ARF stock, no replaced servos. One of the rudder servos is not reliable as it does not re-center correctly. It's comparatively easy to replace, but it doesn't feel safe to fly. It can go at any time. So I have a 2nd Su47 airframe which I'm installing RCLander 4 cell engines and digital servos in. Better performance, higher reliability => mone enjoyable and durable plus true 3D performance. Gyros will make it more stable.

  • @33vortex Sounds very nice Thanks for Sharing,,

  • @TinkerManRC I understand now that HobbyLobby is not the same brand as the kit I have. The quality of HobbyLobby kits must be better than the Lanxiang Su47 kit I have. The airframe itself is excellent however and that's what I recommend. Buy the bare airframe only when it comes to Lanxiang kits (Bananahobby in the US). Sorry for the confusion. They do have a few awesome airframe designs, worth looking into. Blue skies!

  • @33vortex ok thanks for all the info and now worries thanks for commenting and viewing..Tim

  • Very nice plane, the vector thrust stuff looks cool. I like that you can switch it off in case you prefer to fly it without it ...(i really like your videos, good sound and picture quality). Im a little surprised that u can fly a plane that big and with an 70mm edf in it on a 3 cell lipo...took a look at ur follow up flight video too and it really seems to have plenty of power ...so good work on the setup Tim.

  • @WarbirdFan66 HI Hey thanks man for the comments and support

  • Tim!!! When are you going to get a Flight Video of this jet man! Did you forget about this baby??

  • @RCRedBaron I will soon LOL soon LOL

  • who was that hiding under the table? LOL

  • How did you slow down the retracts i have the same plane and same reciver and radio ar7000 and a dsx9

  • @ganster205

Great question I will be happy to answer. I slowed the servos down with the radio I have JR 9503 it has a feature in the programming to slow any servo that you choose.

  • When Will you maiden this?

  • @RedDevilSquadron

Just waiting for the RC Field to open shoulf be her soon .. about 3 more weeks..Thanks for commenting .>Tim

  • Hi tinkermanrc!

ty for the great and informative video.

I have a 70mm F35 too that im about to start building, but i didnt come with the engine holes cut & a few other things,, now i now what to do. ty!

    P.S

I cant wait to see the maiden.

  • Hey! Thanks glad to help.. Good luck with your F-35 :)

  • wow nice job

on the F-35 thumbs up 5

  • I'd recommend a 4s set-up, the 3s won't give you enough power with the weight, especially with the thrust vector nozzle.... Good luck and let us know how she flys....

  • Now Remember she has about 2 lbs trust and weight was 2.8 it should move around the sky well.Great comment and thanks.

  • what size servos r u using? i would like to order one just like you did and put together. do i have a list of the electronics u prefer? thanxs so much, u r such a great help to all of us newbies

  • Great question

I'm using the Hobby city HXT 900 9GR Servo, Trunagy 80 amp servo from hobby city. E-flite 480 4800kv motor on 3 cell. BP hobbys 70mm fan unit. and that should do it.. thanks for the cool comment.

  • Great job Tim, Can't wait to see her in the air! What size mah batt. you runnin? I have had some 70 mm just suck up a 2200mah in no time. flight times may be limited. good luck with her though!!!

  • Great Question

Well, I had these motors installed in my first F-14 tomcat and ran a 2250 30C and with that combo got good flight time about 5 Min,, But your right I will most likely use a 3000 30c,, Thanks for the cool comments Tom..

  • Those things fly sweet stock ! I think you setup will be better.

  • Hey! Thanks Man

  • If you don't have the ability to mix on your Tx you can even fly it as a 5ch. It comes with 2 "Y" harnesses. Just "Y" the steering and rudder VT then "Y" the elevator and elevator VT. You just will not be able to turn off the VT. At least with the DX6i you can mix the elevator to a switch so you can turn it off on take offs and landings.

  • Great Info Thanks Man

  • You can fly it on a DX6i, you don't have to a 7ch radio. You can "Y"harness the front steering and rudder Vectored thrust and mix the elevator/ VT to the mix switch. It flies just fine on 6ch.

  • Great Info Thanks

  • WOW

    That thing looks KILLER!

If they did a F117 version with this spec I would buy it STRAIGHT away, even without the T.V.

  • Thanks so much for the kind words Sam means alot..

  • another great vid Tinkerman! 5*

    What is the price tag?

excited to see how she flys for you.

  • Thanks for the kind words

  • A FUTABA 6EX WOULDNT WORK WOULD IT?

  • @fillopygeesi I saw a guy who set it up with a futaba 6ex. He had it set up so his channel 6 put the nozzle on full up elevator so it could practically hover for a few seconds. So ya, you could set it up that way or just use a y harness.

  • Nice thanks for the cool info..

  • You could use it but its a little Challenging

  • Excellent overview and tips Tim! And Thanks for the shout-out. Glad to help anyway I can. Cant wait to see you fly her! You're gonna love it!

  • Robert Thanks Dude Cool Comment..
