we have about "100" african ciclids (all sorts of diffents kinds! blue,green,yellow,multi coloerd,)in 1 tank with a turtle its about a 90 gallon or more im not sure! but any they all breed togeather and not our fish look so silly! lo

Have you raised any fries to adulthood (3-4inches) to see what color they have? I have had fries from this cross with adults turning brown or yellowish like. Curious if you have had the same experience thanks

I have had the same experience as you over and over again, until the last time I mated my pink female with a cross (pink and barred) male. Some of the fry are barred and some are pink. The fry are still small, but the pink ones seem to look more like platinum, ie. with almost invisible bars.
cool vid - i used to have a female with my male (convict) & they bread every month but they kept beeting up my Jaguar so i took out the female and everything is peacefull now.
i leave my female in there for at least 2 months (if you leave the babies with the parents longer...it will take them long to breed =)) but i m into mbuna now.
Very pretty pink convict. I raised my 18 convicts from tiny fry, then 2 paired up and raised 8 more for me lol. (lil to many now) but i luv em' and am getting them another tank soon.(b4 full size) i wanted some pink ones but the ones i see in the pet stores are mal-nourished or sickly. and im afraid of entering anything diseased into my tank. hehe
what is the chance that you will get a marbled convict with this pair

Not very high. The fry are going to come out pink or black.

Yes, I do. The male is about 7 inches big and the female is about 5inches big.
