  • I had a bigger terra cotta ocarina but a bully broke it. That was 45 years ago... I need to fond another one.

  • What is sticking out of the side of the ocarina in the inset? Is that a pickup, or a tuner or something else?

  • wow your good :)

  • cool!! Do you have a music sheet for this song? So cute!

  • I love this song now!!

Thank you so much for posting! =D

  • Hey!!! Where did you get that ocarina? I want one!

  • Oh my goodnes! This old man is ADORABLE!

  • be...my...grandfather plz!!!! simply amazing

  • i wish i could make such ocarina's by my self :| if it were so i was standing in my workroom all day long!

  • What is the price for a soprano-ocarina? :)

  • Depends on the wood type. A price list is available for download on my website. Look on the main sweet potato page. thanks

  • yea it takes timing, but it's not as hard thanks to 8-tracks and the like. still excellent playing bravo!

  • has to be the best sounding duet of ocarinas I've ever heard. Normaly when two play together it almost sounds like they are fighting for attention, but these ones are purely harmonious. Outstanding craftsmanship :D

  • It's so pretty!

  • Would you mind telling me what woods the alto in this video are made of? Thats what I want my tenor to look like when I eventually order it.

  • The main wood is Honduras Rosewood. The red accent stripe is Bloodwood, and the two are separated by a thin layer of Cherry.

  • OMG do u sell that little one anymore?

  • Yes, but I don't have any finished right now. You can place a custom order on my main ocarina page. Thanks.

  • If that's not video editing talent... that is a lot of musical talent, being able to keep in time well enough to be able to play the two recordings together at once. Doesn't seem to be wearing head phones to listen to the previous recording or anything.

  • wow!

  • That is a mighty fine duet and a Sweet Sweet potato! Great work, Charly Hind, as usual!

    Richard and Sandi

  • Lovely! And the way you inserted the "harmony" video in was very clever.

  • I remember this as a song from Call Me Madam which I once worked at Birmingham Rep Theatre England with Noel Gorden! beautiful! thank you for posting!

  • Bravo Charlie, very nice!!!

    Paolo

  • how many holes is your ocarina?

  • The tuning slide doesn't change key. It only slightly adjusts the pitch so that you can tune to other instruments...like pulling out the joints on a clarinet or the slide on a trumpet.

  • You can pull the joints on a clarinet?

  • Yes you can :) that's how you adjust the tone and accurately tune your Clarinet

  • Mr. Hind, I notice that the Altos have a tuning slide.

Do these enable the ocarinist to change the key that the ocarina plays in?

  • it's so happy and sweet! Great job on it!

  • its beautiful.

I'm a guy and i am saying this

  • that's so pretty and nice!=)

  • Very nice :)

  • that was really nice.

i need to find a song i can try a harmony with.
