  • uhh... seriously?i was looking for LEGIT dangers... i just don't believe in God enough to not tat my body...

  • tattoo's are not because of religion its because we like them and they mean something to the person not because of any god.

  • Abominations? You're a dork

  • I think tattoos are disgusting and shows a person's insecurity and rebellion.

  • I hear good arguments on both sides. I think the answer lies with what God lays upon your spirit, I'd go with that. Often times someone will get a tattoo of something they think looks "cool" and have inadvertently marked themselves with a curse, so you need to pray about it before you commit to the ink. I have tats and I was saved when I got them and I'm seriously re-thinking them. But in either case, I'm forgiven for them. And so are you if you have them.

  • oke so take of your mixed fabric clothing of right now and grow out your side burn!!!

    that's also leviticus.

  • You point out the scripture that looks down upon all tattoos but what about Isaiah 49:16? "See, I have engrave you on the palms of my hands;" Jesus himself had our names engraved on his palms. I would believe that engraving names on his palms would in fact be a "tattoo"

  • Jesus said "I am the new testament" which means disregard the old testament. Christians don't seem to want to deal with that.

  • Is there anything in the New Testement about tattoos? I thought that the Old Testement was just a history lesson, and that the New Testement (or New Covenent) was what we are supposed to be living by now. You know, the one where Jesus is introduced and shows us that we are forgiven for our sins.

  • so basically i cant get a tattoo because id be insulting god because id be saying technically i dnt like the way u made me, well i ask wat about shaving and having a hair cut, doesnt that technically mean im modifying my body on how i want it to be hmmm something to think about aye

  • I see a tattoo for God perhaps a bible verse is respectful and not against God your body may be a temple but what is better then permanantly putting a mark for your love for christ?

  • this is all crap, i would die for christ if i had too...i have seven tatts... so, they do not push you away from the lord....case closed

  • LOL! "its screaming to the heavings 'I dont like the way you made me so im going to change it'" xD some ppl crack me up man. I needed a good laugh

  • this is very narrow minded and stupid, and once again an example of scripture being taken too literally

  • the leviticus verse was speaking directly to pagans and pagan rituals and worships at the time... still.. the verse does have some relevence...

there are also verses in corinthians, and romans, and john, refering to the body being the temple of god, and whoever so defile it, he whome god shall destroy.

the big question is kids.. what is your tattoo for? sit down and think about it, pray, and is your tattoo ok with you, and with god? Live for god, and don't make the decision rashly.

  • This is stupid and so are all the comments.Leviticus is not a good verse to argue because it tells you so much thingx your not aloud to do that we all do today. And todd bently is a fake he fell into adultry when he was saved. pm and ill explain it better.

  • tell this to todd bentley.he has tattoos all over his body.but as long as they are about god he says it is ok.stupid man.another fals preacher in sheepclothing.

  • what about religious tattoos?

  • Leviticus 19: 27... so can i not get a hair cut or a trim around my beard??

  • Only an incredibly vain man would think that God created man in His own image. Christians can't even come up with their own religion. They ripped this whole good and evil/ heaven and hell concept off from the Summarians!

    Worship each other not God!

  • @13uncletim13 you are incredibly ignorant of the truth of christianity. If you would like to know the truth about it, message me and ill let ya know. Have a good day

  • Revelations19:16. It states.."...upon His hip and on His robe is a mark...King of Kings, Lord of Lords" How do you explain Jesus having a tattoo if its not allowed by your precious Bible. The Bible is a man made representation of 1000's of years of lieing and thievery. Politically motivated and designed to put fear in the hearts of man. Fear, guilt and shame have always been very powerful sales tools for those whose God is grre and power. Don't believe a word this liar is pitching to you.

  • @13uncletim13 but god did not stick a needle and ink in his skin its a birth mark so yes god does not allowed tattoos read it closely u jus want him to agreed wat u do wen hes not and you kno the truth stop trying to make your self feel better and jus so you kno the end of the world is gonna end while you and me and every one else is alive hope ur ready if not ur gonna cry and beg and gonna regret wat u do and done okay have a nice day lol

  • @13uncletim13 Rev. 19-16 is not referring to a tattoo. You just read what you want to read, but you care not to really read the truth.

  • Though, as a observer of Torah myself and believe that tattooing the flesh is against Torah, I don't think its the government's responsibility to regulate or outlaw this practice. People should have the right be be tattooed if they feel they want to, but those who observe Torah should obviously not.

  • Your comments are very helpful for someone who is trying to find the truth in this matter. The Scripture references make it clear that tattoos are not appropriate for any believer in YHWH.

  • "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord."

FOR THE DEAD may be the real meaning here...
