Your words are the story of my life. Only by inheritance am I in relative comfort. Yet my comfort is not comforting because I know full well I could never have gotten what I have on my own.

Yesterday, America observed its most Holy Day, the Super Bowl. Some even sold blood all year and saved up the proceeds for tickets. I am a bad American because I refused to participate in any way. I didn't even watch or care about the Packers vs. Steelers. On that day, I discovered Jess's webpage.

~Thanks Brian! That means a lot. Ya I like this one because it s honest. I feel this way a lot lately. I see all my flaws and some days I m just so disgusted by myself but whatever. I think everyone goes through self-doubt...it s better than being arrogant although too much self-doubts wounds your soul. Glad you can relate to it even if it s not on the best of terms!

Jess, you just described exactly how i feel all the time!!!! Even though ive only been homeless once and some people let me and Sam stay in a very small camper and then chased us out because we had dogs and they didn't like dogs, luckly my mom was still alive and found us a place to live, thank GOD for my mom!!!! At this time im still feeling like you did in every way!!!! I don't know how to change it!!!! Sincerely Lisa

~Hey Lisa! Wow that really happened to you too? :( I too am glad your mom was able to help you out! I know how you feel. I think the sad/difficult memories will always remain of being homeless. I wish I could shake them too but I still have nightmares and feel dirty about it. I wish I could just forget. Do you have these problems too or is it just me?

@CreepyHermitPoet Hey Jess! Yes it did really happen to me too!!! Im glad mom was able to find us a place too!!! See we moved into Sam's mom & dads tiny camper but they didn't really want us there so i slept outside on a bench swing with my little puppy and blanket so i know how it feels not to have a home & to sleep outside cause i wasn't going to sleep some where i wasn't welcome i even used the bathroom outside!!!! The memories will always remain!! It's not just you Jess!!! It's me too!!!

~I know EXACTLY how you feel. That s why I wrote the line about "high over me the expectations tower". It s like that tower eventually crumbles on you. This is when you feel burn out and it becomes hard to cope with anything. It really wears a person out. People think that having high expectations for others helps them but sometimes it s too much pressure and the person gives up when they realize they can never live up to the hype.

All the pressures of everyday life these days. It s only gonna get worse. I feel each year the pressures & expectations rising. I just need to step back for awhile so they don t destroy me. That s how I cope with it. It s good to take breaks from life at times.

You were homeless? The fact that homelessness even exists is a saddening thing to me, but the saddest thing is addressing the problem. I hope when I'm older I'll have enough time and money to help all of those less fortunate than myself, because those in this world who DO have the time and money to help people in need use it all up on themselves. Mad world we live in. Very good poem by the way, you have a talent for literature and self expression.

Hey Vlogoftheday.... I feel that if these ppl really love you all that they want from you is YOU!! :) and that when someone truly loves another person, any "flaws" just make that person more beautiful and more loved to them because they feel honored that they get to see those parts :)
