ocean floor trawling/ bottom dredging should be banned outright- we have absolutely no idea what the overall long term effects are. When you kick the bottom rung out of the food chain, what happens further up?
you can eat fish in a sustainable way....fish is good for healtg, and some people are very pessimistoc, not all is that bad..and i am a marine biologist by the way...
If I breed fish in a 100 gallon fishtank in my house for the soul purpose of eating, is that not sustainable? It is. You are confused about the actual practice of eating fish and the intensive and reckless way in which most fish are harvested throughtout the World's Oceans.
neither do I..havnt eatin fish in 6 years. I was only providing an example in which fish could be sustainably eaten.. You seem too stupid to understand the broader point I was trying to make...That point being that being vegetarian or refraining from eating fish does little to address the problems that Jeremy describes...

niijiifilms,
It appears the slides have been deliberately blurred. I'm guessing it's some kind of copyright issue. Too bad.

This lecture is great. But I wish they'd edited in his slides: we're missing a lot.
