All they care about is polished off robot sounding production. It shouldnt be about showing off with flashy gimmicky complex riffing just to prove that your a good musician. Its about creating something new. And darkthrone was a perfect example of something new AT THE TIME. Now black metal is just as trendy as your brootle death metal.

The latest death metal sounds like Job for a cowboy or even slipknot but with more "br00tle" vocals. "lets see how heavy we can be" "lets tune our guitars to fuckin drop Z and chug on the lowest note possible. Oh and lets not forget to combine 50 random riffs together to make it sound technical and impressive". so groovy
