A year ago my chiropractor told me that my spine had formed the opposite way of others and he told me that if I don't see him regularly, by the age of 20 I could be hunched over and I dont like that idea very much. haha. And as the economy is bad, I dont have the money to regularly see him. Do you think yoga could help atleast postpone this problem or help it, in any way? I find yoga calming.
if this is yogafor beginners, then give me Yoga for 100% absolute, total Beginners, please? No use of a great yoga teacher showing me the IDEAL pose, when I can barely move . Stiffness and no exercise for a long time makes our bodies unable to do these long, far, deep stretches. SHOW us what a real beginner is ABLE to do. THANKS!
Try this out it works when your video buffers press click the sreen then press up on your arrow pad thing (make sure video is buffering) then you can play snake with the buffering circle things all you have to do is find the glowing circle things and eat them and your snake gets larger.

i thought yoga was simple, but when I tried less than 5min in, I was dying. Too many awkward poses for me and blood rushing through my head with certain poses. I am thin but so out of shape. I will give yoga another try since it's healthy for your mind, body, and soul. Thanks for the video.
i'm just going through the videos now, to kinda get an idea of what to expect, i'm 28, and was told yoga would be good for me, i've been out of shape for a long time, and have been wanting to start working out, thanks for uploding these videos.
I have endometriosis, so my doctor suggested I try jogging a little bit, however, jogging seemed too harsh for me and I was always in alot of pain afterwards. My friend suggested I try Yoga since it's not as harsh as jogging. I love Yoga so far! I don't feel pain after I work out anymore! Thanks for posting these!
Hello Esther, Thank you so much for these beginner's videos, they have helped me a lot! I have a question though, in these two poses in this video, are the heels, and therefore the legs supposed to be aligned in the same plane as the body? I struggle to keep my balance with my hind leg that far back. Can you suggest a modification? Many thanks! Dan
@foskettd You may be glad to hear that the problem is in your being all in the same plane. I know a friend who has taught me some kung fu fundamentals, which I keep with me on my journey into yoga. From this I have learned that it is well to align the insides of the feet, as in mountain pose they sidle to one another. It is more like a one-dimensional plane is a common thread between them. The back foot then being angled 45 degrees will give much more stability to these narrow types of stances.
I already do pilates so i thought heck why not do yoga too :) i really like these videos, in the past i figured yoga wasn't my thing so i never pursued it

I started to do face yoga six months ago and noticed a difference. I became a believer and so decided to take it up a level and try yoga for beginners. I (thankfully) stumbled upon your yogatic and have been doing yoga for beginners I and II-- for the past week and I LOVE IT!!!! thank you :)
I feelreally good after my first day ever doing yoga. I only did the beginners one video because I am a large man. I am trying to lose weight and if I feel this good after one five minete session, iam hooked. is it ok to do this more than once a day.
Thank you for such great instructions and teaching, i have just started yoga as i have a very stiff sacrilliac joint and thought it may help. I am really enjoying your videos to learn at home.
Do you have any advice on a couple of poses i can do daily to help with this joint problem pls?
Thanks for posting this! Feels amazing post workout. I'm definitely going to stick with it. I love how I sink deeper into the pose with every deep breath.
How long should one do yoga until they're very flexible? Can it take a year long, or a couple of months? I'm -18 by the way, and I've got to say thanks for these useful tips. :)
Thanks Esther... I've been wanting to learn Yoga but the classes available at my area doesn't fit my work schedule. By watching these videos I get to learn Yoga and save a few bucks too! Thanks again, and keep posting new vids XD
Hi Yogatic, i have a large problem with the flexability in my right hip since i was dragged by a horse. Do you think this can help my hip to reajust and the muscles to sort of fix themselves, let alone help with some of the pain?
Whenever I go into triangle pose, the knee on the leg I'm leaning towards starts to hurt (it feels a little bit like it's going "in" too much). I was just wondering if this is part of it or if I'm doing something wrong.
thanks Esther, I have been very ignorant about yoga for years. For various reasons I've never wanted to even give it a try. You have finally made yoga become enjoyable and through these simple but very helpful videos I have built confidence within myself to take my learning further!

Hi esther, thanks for the video, i have a posture problem: my back is never straight, so i did some kine but after they recommended me to do some sport and as i hate sport, i was searching for something relaxing and not too sporty then i found your video about yoga and since then i started and i feel like i'm getting better although some simple exercise are hard for me, i hope i'll get more flexible like you...
Hello from Russia, Esther! Your lessons are really great, they helped me so much, I already feel much better. thank you!! I'm happy i've found your videos. going to show them 2 my mom=)
I really needed to get in shape, I want a more toned and slim figure. I think if I do yoga like this once or twice a day, it will help. Thank you, Esther Eckhart!! ♥ I'm so happy I found your videos.
Thank you so much!! I have wanted to learn yoga, but did not know where to start. I love how you explain the poses in detail!! Not everyone does that. Thank you again and keep posting please!!
After looking at so many yoga videos that went too fast or too slow, I love the simplicitiy of your reoutines and that you take your time in showing others. I love you and your videos make me want to do yoga every day! Thank you so much!
Esther i want to thank you for this video. I'm doing joga with you every day and i think you are great instructor.. Your exercises make me feel better. PEACE !!
hi, i love yoga but i could never do it properly and i cant tell u how happy i am that i found u. i would ask u if u could do a video with yoga exercises for the back, i had an car accident a few years back and i always have back pain, so i think that would be very helpfull. thank youso much for these videos.
Hi my name is Marcia ,i am unfit ,and is very interested in yoga ,to relax ,loose weight. I checked out many videos ,but i must admit ,that you Esther Ekhard , are for me the most interested video. I cant wait to see buy you dvd !!!
I absolutely adore yoga now, i did pt 1. my boyfriend has been away on holiday and ive been going crazy trying to find something to do. Yoga cleared my mind and made me feel amazing. After finish pt 1 i felt absolutely relaxed. (:
I have been doing your routines in replacement of general stretching before and after weightlifting sets. It gets me far more loose and limber compared to just general stretching.
The only problem is that it relaxes me a little too much before lifting. ;)
One suggestion, a little music would be cool, make things a little smoother and more enticing to watch. In Europe playing a professional sport so this is perfect after a long day in the gym. Thanks!
great vid as always. i haven't had time to follow through lately but i surely will pick up again. I started doing your lessons and felt really better, didn't feel as tired as before.
Wow I feel so relaxed! But really sore

Q? are you supposed to bend your knees in triangle pose
RainbowBabe151 2 years ago
No, if you can keep them straight do.. However if there is pain or a hamstring injury, bending that front knee could be a good idea in the beginning!

I really needed to get in shape, I want a more toned and slim figure. I think if I do yoga like this once or twice a day, it will help. Thank you, Esther Eckhart!! ♥ I'm so happy I found your videos.

After looking at so many yoga videos that went too fast or too slow, I love the simplicitiy of your reoutines and that you take your time in showing others. I love you and your videos make me want to do yoga every day! Thank you so much!

Thank you Esther.
I have been doing your routines in replacement of general stretching before and after weightlifting sets. It gets me far more loose and limber compared to just general stretching.
The only problem is that it relaxes me a little too much before lifting. ;)
Thanks again, great videos.

One suggestion, a little music would be cool, make things a little smoother and more enticing to watch. In Europe playing a professional sport so this is perfect after a long day in the gym. Thanks!

I know, but for a lot of people it can be distracting so we decided to concentrate on the yoga only.

good decision

good decision indeed! besides anybody can also open an mp3 application while watching the video and play any music they want in the background :)

i find stickin on a little Journey or Surrvivor music in the back ground makes things more smooth and forces you to keep moving

am I supposed to hold the poses for the same amount of time that you do or go longer?
timepants 3 years ago
it is fine to stay in each pose as long as feels comfortable, 10 to 15 breaths is fine
yogatic 3 years ago
Really appreciate this, thanks!

So what if you've been doing this for three years?
Some of us want to learn now.
And if you've been doing it for so long, stay away from the beginner yoga videos, since you're so 'advanced.'

Gi Esther,
it's maybe strange to say, but your voice sounds really dutch...

thank you for the videos
