  • Sounds so soul... nah

  • just bought this concert on vinyl in Marseille,France after 1 year of searchin.....and i'm italian!!

  • ' Then came Monteray where he got a big boost'... HE BOOSTED MONTERAY ....

  • The version sung by Strong for the movie "The Commitments" is far better. Jus' sayin....

  • @nobilismaximus I admit that the movie-version is good, but no one can ever outdo Otis!

  • @nobilismaximus

Are you insane? You're insane, right?

  • @nobilismaximus u should wash ur ears sometimes... wont do u no bad..

  • I'll be honest with everyone. I love raw shows. Otis was as raw as it got. People like James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding ,and many others, There were no damn gimmicks. No props for the stage like now. There were pure soul. They need to bring that back now.

  • wow its good

  • With introduction by the Emperor Rosko himself!

  • the English loved Otis. see the crowd clapping.

    Much bigger than in USA.

Then came Monteray where he got a big boost.

There are no superlatives to describe Otis.

A pure soul man. Missed dearly by millions.

    Love you Otis.............

  • One of the biggest song of all time!

  • oh fuck off america, why do you have to try and claim everything

he was so far beyond you

your crap nasal pretentious voice is an insult to his

  • fantástico !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sadly Mr. Redding grew-up and lived during the segregation. His song "on the dock of the bay" is an example of his awareness of slave-filled-ships coming to America. Indeed he was loved by both black and white equally, and he'll always, always be on our minds, and our thoughts.

  • @QIIMO lol i dont think slave ships were coming to america when he was alive

  • Why is the music industry taking so long to honor him?

  • I'm 25 it is all "lets make money, money" Fuck, actually don't get me started it will take many Utube"characters"....

  • @lovegoddess49

Because he was pure, not some sellout corporate whore, like today's artists have become.

  • @TTmaniax Way to go bro :-)

  • I was at his last show at Leo's Casino on Euclid Ave. in Cleveland. I sold my D-28, bought a Telecaster and never looked back...

  • wow...he replaced elvis...wow...never knew that. That is why i am so intuned with his music now.

  • Those were the days!!! All the greats are in soul heaven..

  • Man i wish singers could sing like this nowadays!!! The closest we have to this is Anthony Hamilton, and while I love him, he's no Otis, Sam or al Green!

  • Theres still some great male sangers in the industry like Anthony Hamilton, John Legend, Raheem Devaughn, and i really cant thank of no more, cuz it really aint the many GREAT male sangers

  • @olskolsoul Please don't forget Maxwell but I can't think of many others either. That's sad.

  • @CoCoYvette o yea cant forget about maxwell. I dont know what happened to the real male artist, seem like dey jus died off after the 90s. And not many are around nowadays.

  • what a pity the man is taken far to early from us. I'm sure with years to come he would have made more of this beautiful music. thats hard to find these days

    greetings from the netherlands

  • otis or marvin its soo hard :( both fantastic i love his 'heavy voice'

  • King of soul!!!

  • he has one of the greatest voices ever

  • This is from a VHS put out by Rolling Stone magazine, early 90's.

They're all talking about the different acts at the monterey festival, I don't think this is in Europe.

Amazing Video try get it !!!

  • ah, I see now it WAS in Europe.

  • out of all the music i own, if ever i'm feeling like shit, i stick some otis on and suddenly, all is good.....a legend! so tragic that he's gone

  • @Exeshedder same here

  • Amazing!!!

  • That voice is like a superpower.
