  • Thank you so much for the videos I just got done with 4 coats of paint on my wifes truck and it is coming alone great Your videos have help me the most the only bad thing is 5 of my neighbors want there cars done now! thanks again

  • nice video's to watch and a beautiful result on your bike! We do also whole cars here this way...... greets from europe

  • wow man. that was very helpful! thanks a lot, and very good job!

  • would there be any benefit if i did this with the spray can instead of the roller and how many coats would you reccomend if i use the spray can?

  • Sure you could do it with a spray can. You can use a compressor & spray gun too. This technique just shows an inexpensive way to paint. The more coats the better.

  • The problem with a spray can is that they usually don't spray very evenly, so you'd have a lot harder of a time making it look good and even.

The best bet if you wanted to spray would be to get a nice gravity feed spray gun - but that's obviously more expensive than rollers :D

  • Your paint tray is contributing to your orange peel. The bumps in the tray may be making bubbles large and they are not popping right. I had that when I did mine. switching to a flat tray gave me the pin size bubbles that pop easily letting the paint flatten better.

    It is a great Job

  • Thanks for the set of vids-- very informative!

  • great job!!!

  • good job - i like that you did a follow up months later - good stuff

  • The paint is an alkyd enamel from Sherwin Williams. Basically the same thing as Rust-Oleum brand. You can the same type of paint mixed up at Home Depot, Walmart, Loes, etc. Make sure you thin the paint to speed up drying time otherwise it'll stay soft and easy to scuff for a long time. See the other vids for more detail on the procedure.

  • where did you get youre paint mix up at?
