So a private security guard should not have authority beyond the property he's guarding.

B) enters the premises when it is prohibited to do so, C) failure to leave when directed to do so. Lastly the powers of arrest for civillians come from section 495 of the criminal code. As civvies security guards get 494.

I While they may arrest, they can not use force unless force is also used. If someone agrees to be hand cuffed fine. I have been told by ex-security (disgruntled ones) companies will ask guards to perform beyond this, then fire them if they are charge or sued and offer no protection. This practice is not illegal.

@tombeardman As a adult I`ve seen policies about bullying and our duty not to tolerate it and speak up about it. Wether you agree with one or the other parties involved that was the type of behavior we tell our children not to accept. Maybe if the press cover the other side of the argument we won`t have to rely on untrained journalists to point out the opposing veiwpoints. Anyone with real credentials would call up former President Gore, oops I let that one slip out, and ask for an interview. They are not interested in discussion.
