  • 0:16 love that bit

  • Where did you get such high quality clips of the star field?!

  • Two of the best Doctor Who themes combined! Fantastic work!

This should be the current theme!

  • 0:00-0:26 best bit.

  • One of the things I like about this is that it combines so well with the Sixth Doctor Remix.

Could we possibly get a vid combining Howell, Glynn, and Derbyshire in the ways they were combined in this and the Sixth Doctor Remix?

  • @TheEndlessWarlock this was actually tom bakers theme in 80 and 81 with some minor editing.

  • @tails228

    Umm... No shit?

I was saying it combined very well with the Sixth Doctor Remix that RTP has also done, and asked if we could get Derbyshire, Howell, and Glynn combined in one vid by RTP.

  • i actually like this i think it sounds nice i prefer it to the original

  • Great vid! Brings back great memories of watching The Doctor on public television on a Sunday afternoon!

  • Doctor who is no where near as good as it used to be. It's gotten WAAAAAY too political! They need to go back to the way they were back in the Tom Baker era! Yes, The 4th Doctor would make a few comments here and there but they were done in a completely non-offensive manner! But now the stupid writers and execs don't seem to care who they offend!

  • @sallyjosie It is political, though I'm not sure what you mean exactly. It's much more jingoistic than it used to be, which is what really bothers me. But you had alot of politics in the old series, especially in alot of the Pertwee UNIT stories (all the Gallifrey stories were too, but in a different way). Alot of the other stories were political in a metaphorical way, especially stories that looked at environmental issues (Green Death, Fury From the Deep and Seeds of Doom come to mind).

  • @breaks0 I know most every show of whatever genre one can think of has some sort of political overtone. At least from time to time. But I guess now that I'm older and can better understand what certain writers are implying I'm a more sensitive to certain issues such as religion and politics. I don't mind people having a different point of view but I do mind when they write stories that are disrespectful toward others. While I'm a conservative my older brother is a liberal. We have lively....

  • @sallyjosie debates from time to time. No lie. But RTD'S having religion outlawed one million yrs in the future? REALLY?! Or on Torchwood having them "resurrect" a guy from the dead and after some questioning he replies "There's nothing there" basically that's what he said. Moffat is no better with his far-left politics. I mean he is a radical. Constantly taking potshots at religion, the military, royalty and of course America. Those two need to shut-up and grow up. Someday I hope moffat grows

  • @sallyjosie up enough to show both points of view in a respectful and intelligent manner. That is, if he's capable enough. And the storylines are so childish and boring. I know its for children. But there use to be a certain element to Dr Who that made it enjoyable for adults to watch it too. I do not like the way the stupid writers have portrayed the military. So stupid. By the way. Someone should tell these writers that the more they try and make these groups look stupid they only succeed...

  • @sallyjosie in making themselves look stupid. If anyone watches the show to learn anything about life or politics they are in for a rude awakening since half of what the show teaches about religion and politics is a bunch of rubbish. No where near reality. But I guess most of the kids watching the show only care about the action element of the show. But I do know that the older fans get these ignorant messages loud and clear. And they are stupid enough to believe it. Now thats scary.

  • @sallyjosie I don't really agree w/your take on the show being far left, but I guess on some level I can see where you're coming from. TW particularly takes a very atheistic view of religion and death as well. As to the stories being more juvenile on either show, ya I think that's generally true too. Though I think Children of Earth basically was a big step up over what came before, even while I liked alot of S2.

  • It matches so well.

  • Are you going to do a closing theme as well?

  • I suppose I could do. I admit I didn't consider it before as the opening titles are usually much more interesting than closing titles.

  • Brillient! title mix, they are great together.

  • Yay!

  • This is brilliant well done.

  • Wonderful stuff:)

  • Thank you, my friend :) I know my videos aren't up to much, but I'm glad people are still enjoying them while I'm going through my learning curve, so to speak.

  • The visuals are great, but audio i dont' think it came out that good. It sounds like there's too much goign on and doesn't really blend

  • I sort of half agree with you. I think the audio synch works better here than in previous videos of mine, but I agree that the Derbyshire and Howell themes don't make happy bedfellows. They're both so unique and amazing in their own individual ways and style that they do sort of clash - the mysterious and mercurial meeting the jaunty and stylised. Still, I fancied a go at it anyway.

  • wow. thats fantastic. Bin a long time since i saw a really good fan edit of toms titles.

Great to see. Hes my fav doctor :)

  • Thanks. I would've loved to have done more, but I'm useless with CGI and photoshop, so for the moment transition effects will have to do.

Tom is of course absolutely brilliant, and my 2nd favourite and it's great to finally get round to featuring him :)

  • i wouldnt worry about cgi n all that. i cant do it. at least havnt got the means to. don't mean you cant produce great vids tho. n may i presume pertwee if ur fav??

  • fantastic

  • wow good meld

    love the ecco

  • That was Fantastic! I loved the use of the TARDIS at the start. Well Done!!!!

  • Thank you. I try to use a moving one if I can, although I wish my 'Black' Screen had worked better.
