Instead of thinking "eww gross" think of it this way... Imagine being in the military in Afghanistan with minimal resources and your side arm is rendered useless because you have dirt and grim in it but no liquid to clean it with.. This is crude but I guarantee there have been scenarios like this where you had to piss on your weapon to clean it but in a combat state of mind I doubt you're going to be thinking "eww gross" and leave your defensive tool dirty/unoperable when piss could fix it.
