  • Classic!!!!!! 666

  • long live metal. true metal.

  • What kind of bass is Jeff playing? Some sort of explorer?

  • Possessed in Colombia Nov 12/2011 REEEEBRUTAAAALLLLL!!

  • cold melodies hint toward a more blackened spectrum

not surprising when you call yourselves possessed

this is more extreme than average thrash

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Larry Lalonde rules!

  • I saw the Possessed / Dark Angel tour play at CBGBs in NYC. Such a sick gig!!!

  • Was this at Hannerjacks?

  • Possessed - 1st death-metal band with studio album(1985 - year of burning of death-metal)...

The exorcist - 1st song from album Seven Churches - first death-metal song from 1st death-metal album...

    Cannibal's Corpse's The exorcist - is cover,is tribute to fathers of death-metal - Possessed...

  • mike i miss you man, im desis kid lol your cousin. good shit man

  • where was this at?

  • metal legend!!!

  • what's up with possessed now? i heard, that the sadistic intent guys left, is it true?

  • awesome vid! possessed ftw!

  • Death, Celtic Frost and Possessed defined this genre!!! I am 42 now and having nothing but great memories of the shows in the Bay Area at Ruthies Inn, The Stone, Mabuhay Gardens, etc. In my own opinion nothing will ever come close to the thrash/death metal/ hardcore scene of the mid to late 80's!!!

  • Megadeth is gay. They should have opened for Possessed

  • Jeff has a Dark Angel shirt on! fuck yeah!!!!

  • @DarthDowning148xU In 1987 was the year Possessed & Dark Angel toured together.

  • i hate when ppl criticize musicians for playing different genres of music or playing in different bands.it doesn't change the fact that larry was in one of the greatest and first death metal bands of all time.same can be said about blasko who played with ozzy...he was in one of the greatest hardcore bands of all time"CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER".....as ppl age they open up to more and expand and experiment more.does not mean that they are posers or false.

  • @antkowiak666

exactly... the bottom line is this,, the best bands have musicians that draw influence form ALL types of music,,, that way they dont become stale, one trick ponies..

  • i bet these guys even open for them selfs

  • i saw these guys at baltimore this year.. 23 years later and jeff still destroyed it!

    (in a good way)

  • @xdylanx33 Ya man! I was there to. They put on a kick-ass show!

  • here we are talking about TRUE Possessed - best band ever! and it was Mike Sus's drumming and Mike Torrao's riffing and leads combined with Jeff's growls that made them so unique...altho Sus couldn't play as some people here claim...

fuck off! We want a REAL reunion finally!!!

  • INNOVATION, GENUIS, THE BEST, 666

  • Loved this shit at 14,And i still love it.

  • I was 16 and attended this same show, went home and played the vinyl over 100 times before nailing the entire album on my axe,Thanks for the memories man,I should've took a Camera with me that day.

  • fuck all of you possessed rules

  • \m/

  • dude ur one luck motherfucker , i've would sacrifice my dick to be there. POSSESSED \m/

  • Sooo awesome!!

  • Man if Jeff didn't have that accident wed have more fucken awsome albums! But the worst had to happend..ohh well

  • canibal corpse cover

    sounds kind of stupid

  • it does sound stupid

but some part of the vocals i just like

    they are rugged

  • CC covered this song!! CC werent even formed when Possessed came out !!! Possessed opened many shows for Slayer,Exodus,Legacy,etc.... you guys must be baby metalheads or posers!!

  • @konaquon

Yea man, baby metal heads AND Posers is what I figure.

  • hhahaha :D

  • @guillotinedeath

You're saying Possessed covered a Canibal Corpse song? LMMFAO. Interesting given that Possessed put this song/album out at least 3 years before C.Corpse came onto the scene.

  • no cannibal corpse cover a possessed song

  • yes canibal cporpes cover of a posessed song does sound stupid. learn ya metal history little boy

  • i know my history

    shit

  • Larry LaLonde-From this to Primus. He always disowns this but it they were a solid band, he should be proud.

  • ohh my god !! sick sicker THIS !! i just hear the drums !! bad quality !!!!

  • bootleg from 87,what did u expect?

    this is legendary!]

    moron..

  • I might see these guys in june with tormentor in california at the slamming turtles!!!!

  • This is one of the few bands i never saw ! Very disappointing.

  • i wish i was alive when they came to baltimore

  • the best death metal band ever!!!!

  • possessed is very best than megadeth¡

  • you're fuckin retarded go die in a fire while listening to your mainstream metal

  • I think Megadeth was and is a great band, and Metallica too, until the black album, any other album after that sucks horribly.

POSSESSED FTW, kicks Metallica's ass anytime, anyday

  • Well, obviously, this video is in some really poor quality, but if you were a real metal fan you'd like Possessed. I think Megadeth is better too, but Possessed is pretty fucking sweet :)

  • Poser. Any metallica fan would know that Kirk was a HUGE fan of Possessed back in the day.

    pffft.

  • you suck

  • poser

  • Megadeth should have been opening for them.

  • even they didnt create death metal, they sure as hell got it goin'!

  • Possessed kinda did create Death Metal, sorry for the confusion if you're talking about another band=)

  • well idk, death's first demo came out in 83

and sepulturas beastial devastation came out a couple months b4 seven chruches, so u could argure all 3

  • Yeah, but how do you know when all these records came out?

  • wikipedia dumb dumb.

and zoinkz, i have two problems with that statement.

    1. its "invent" not "event"

    2. just because they had a song called "death metal" doesnt mean that started it! look possessed isnt rly that good. seven churches was theyre only "good" album and even then, the none of the musicians are good at their instruments, espcially the drummer, Mike sus

  • They came out with the first Death Metal record.

  • yeah sorry, it was like 6 am when i wrote this so errors were imminent. And I didn't say they started it, i said they started the term "death metal" for this kind of heavier music.

  • Even if they didn't "event" it, they definitely keyed the term "Death Metal"

  • i love this song :D

  • I'm so glad I subscribe to you! This is fantastic!

  • EVIL AGGRESSION!!! I love you man!!

I remember someone else had this video posted like 2 or 3 years ago, it was the end of the exorcist, and it went into fallen angel, and seance.

jeff kinda fucks up the vocals in this video but it still kicks ass... Mike Torrao is an extremely undterrated musician!!!!

    I love it!!!

  • thrasherreider666, I remember the post you're talking about. I noticed that the poster had the keyword 'Primus' in the tag... That had me wondering about him because no true Possessed fan would mention Primus as having anything to do with Possessed.

  • evilaggression, can you tell which venue this was from? I know I saw Possessed in West Baltimore in 1987 at a place called Channel One. Mike Rhodes put on the show and I think he promoted a Cro-Mags show at the same place either a few weeks before or after Possessed.

Somewhere i have a really shitty copy of the show I am talking about on vhs.

thanks for posting this Balto classic. Do you remember VSD and Rancid Decay from Balto in like '86-'88? VSD is on youtube now.

  • @evilaggression but they do have something to do

  • @evilaggression Except for the whole Larry Lalonde playing for Possessed and Primus thing.

  • @evilaggression well Larry Lalonde IS in Primus. and I like both bands.

  • @ohiogrinder I know Lalonde is in Primus. I don't know any Possessed fans from back in the day who listen to Primus or try to link that band to Possessed because its so dramatically different. There... that should be cleared up now.

  • @evilaggression I am. I was huge into thrash in the mid 80s and then got into alternative and am a huge Primus fan (have probably seen them 20 times)

  • @evilaggression But it's both a legitmate and logical link as Lalonde played in both. Be kinda like denying Ron Woods had a history before The Stones. Either way you can hear the huge influence this had on Black Metal.

  • @evilaggression - Huge Possessed fan AND huge Primus fan!! Larry Lalonde can do no wrong.

  • @evilaggression That's a shame. You shouldn't limit yourself to just one genre of music.

  • I agree with you. Mike Torrao is an underrated musician who should get credit for his amazing work in Possessed. Larry LaLonde was an amazing guitarist at the age of 17! And Jeff Becerra, possibly the greatest death metal singer in my heart. I find it unfortunate that Mike Sus however is done with music and he is off to bigger better things. He did some sick drum work especially with his opening of "Death Metal".

    Long live Possessed\m/

    Reunion! Reunion!

  • Evilagg you rule dude. Nice video. And yes, you're a lucky bastard for seeing them with Megadeth.

I'm pretty sure Larry Lalonde the only thrash guy playing a Fender strat at this point. This was a great band. Too bad they didnt last longer. Jeff Becerra, every picture I've ever seen of him from this era he's in a Dark Angel shirt.
