You're correct when it comes to presidential elections... but if you understood the constitution, you would know that the Executive Branch is powerless when the Legislative Branch does it's job (which isn't happening at the moment).
This is more about keeping the powers of the States than it is about which of the two idiots we're going to put in the White House.
You and I are on the same side, I'm just trying to help you understand the difference between the way our STATE and FEDERAL systems work. The people will always hold the power at a state level, so long as there is a Constitution that guarantees it. When that ceases to be the case, EVERY state has the right to succeed from the union. Currently, there are 25 states that have entertained just such an option. Think it can't happen? Think again.

I have no idea why Naomi would even choose to join this rally. She is against everything it stands for. Progressives always call for new govt that is of,by, and for the people. They never question if such a govt is even possible. When their supposed poster child (Obama) fails, they are quick to point out his flaws. Yet they never question if thier idealology is flawed. You get the idea. "Force" could be defined as practically anything. And since the "planned use of force" would be considered a criminal act of terrorism, anyone who simply thinks about a grassroots action campaign would be engaged in terrorist acts.
If you stopped someone on the street and handed them a Bible, for example, this could be considered an act of terrorism ("...use of force to promote the individual's religious beliefs...")

The Founding Fathers were very clear in their statements regarding the citizens' right to bear and own arms. It wasn't about hunting. They meant for the citizens to use their arms to defend themselves, their families,and their freedoms against the government the day it inevitably went bad.

outside of fisa and wiretapping i don't consider "rights" as much of an issue as rp fanatics think. there's less there than meets the eye. on a day to day basis, i dare anyone to show that their lives have been affected in any way or their "rights" infringed. i majored in philosophy, attended a top law school, and studied jurisprudence (dworkin, rawls, etc). believe me, i know more about the concept of rights than 99.9% of the population. rp is much ado about nothing.

But if I may approach the throne, I humbly submit that my rights involve more than my day to day experience. Several Germans were relatively comfortable and politically satisfied until the bombs started falling. When a guy gets waterboarded on my dime, my rights are in trouble. Ron Paul? No thanks. You're only partially correct. The Fed is a Republic, but the states are all Democracies. And since the States are supposed to controll the actions of the Republic through Democratic representation, the Fed is ultimately under the control of the people... hence, a Democracy defacto.

Dude, you really need to study Democracy of the States in order to fully understand the concept of how this Republic works. Each State in this union is ruled through pure Democracy - period. Every state, county and city government is under the control of mob rule, as they were designed to be.

You're missing the point. Delegates don't vote for your representatives, WE DO. Who do you think really holds the power in DC?
You're correct when it comes to presidential elections... but if you understood the constitution, you would know that the Executive Branch is powerless when the Legislative Branch does it's job (which isn't happening at the moment).
This is more about keeping the powers of the States than it is about which of the two idiots we're going to put in the White House.

The people will always hold the power at a state level, so long as there is a Constitution that guarantees it. When that ceases to be the case, EVERY state has the right to succeed from the union. Currently, there are 25 states that have entertained just such an option. Think it can't happen? Think again.
