Saw Top Of The Pops with this on while on holiday at Southsea in August 1978. I was still 15 at the time. It would be on the 'Pops' again when it went higher up the chart
we used to go to the local dance hall just to have a laugh and freak out everyone with our attitude and this came along and suddenly i could laugh punk was too divionist >> not sure thats a word but stuff got better no room for the angry stuff anymore
@scobiedog1 You take things entirely too serious mate.
Even back then in the 70s when i was a young teenager watching this on tv i realised "the gay dancer" was having a laugh...Ya know, doing it for shits n giggles.Dunno how anyone could take it seriously tbh cos the whole song is one big laugh.
@CaptainTurkeyGiblets...i wasn't taking it seriously, just wondering...he didn't seem to do anything at all, then, as soon as i posted the comment, he did some backing vocals!
Thanks for posting - someone should do a cover of this & release it now! Shake up the charts!

I will never understand the stuff that is so bad it's brilliant, I guess when we fully understand human nature we're ready to turn up our toes.
