It's been 2 years since my diagnosis. I tried wigs, but I could never find one that didn't look fake. My family told me I looked better bald than with a wig. So after months of trying to find the perfect one. I just said to hell with it and now go "natural"!

I love it. I feel free. I am not ashamed. No one makes fun or looks at me funny. I even did a job interview bald. Yes, I got the job!!!

@lyfrench When did she and you know that it was time?My daughter has about 60% hair loss with both patchy and diffuse loss. I admit that I can't let go off the hope that it will grow back (at three she really doesn't really notice the hair loss, thankfully). But it just starts, grows for a few weeks and then falls out again, along with additional spots. I admit I am conflicted as she is too young to decide and don't I truly do not know which would be best for her.

I am amazed at how many young girls have suffered with Alopecia and make comments on brave video's just like this one. I am 40 now and have suffered with Alopecia since I was 4 years old. My hair all fell out when I was very young and then first year of middle school and senior school. I don't think people realise how heart breaking it is when handfuls of your hair come out in your hands. My friends used to call for me and I would look through the letterbox rather than open the door!!!
