@TheGrunge619 one thing I've noticed- is I'm getting into his old habits.

I have an obsession with the major and minor scales. the Ionian and Aeolian mode are my fixations, and even though I can play Lydian, harmonic + melodic minor, I just keep getting pulled back to the 2 basic scales. and then I'll try and get out of it by using different legato patterns, phrasings, picking patterns, everything. I think I've gotten to that point where it's like; "you can only play so many different notes."
