I serve with the 1st Batt Royal Irish Regiment (RIR) currently in afghan, i have worked along side Americans and Canadians, Personally id rather have a canadian on my side than american, cause all the americans want to do is "get some" they never shut ther fuckin mouths about "gettin some" and never look at the bigger picture of operations

@1982FMJ - Ignore the troll. Troops are in Germany mainly as a legacy from our occupation post-WW2. Later, it suited the UK to retain our bases there when tensions flared with Russia during the Cold War. We’ve kept a presence there ever since. It has some excellent training areas, much larger than any based in the UK, great for training armoured regiments. Troops often get posted there before starting operational tours (Afghanistan, etc.). More reasons why the British Army is one of the best.

People often do this when they get banned or blocked usually because their old usernames are synonymous with xenophobia, hatred and ignorance, or if they simply rub too many people up the wrong way. @1982FMJ - Ignore the troll. Troops are in Germany mainly as a legacy from our occupation post-WW2. Later, it suited the UK to retain our bases there when tensions flared with Russia during the Cold War. We’ve kept a presence there ever since. It has some excellent training areas, much larger than any based in the UK, great for training armoured regiments. Troops often get posted there before starting operational tours (Afghanistan, etc.). More reasons why the British Army is one of the best.

So, I was watching Sherlock Holmes the other day and noticed how Robert Downey was struggling to sound British. Funny, the more British he tried to sound, the gayer he looked. I guess it was hard for him to balance the gayness of being a Brit with a hero role like Sherlock Holmes. If this movie was to be released only in Britain, he could have gone full Brit gay. But since it was to play to American audiences also he had to tone down the gayness and act more normal and less British.
