@Blackman1000ify Religious people have a belief of fantasy. Some of them are very smart people, highly intelligent i just don't see the delusional thinking manifesting in their thinking ability. I think its a form of mental illness that no psychiatrist had diagnose.

@Blackman1000ify If they can understand it. To break them out of the religious shell,they have to become open mined. And majority of them are not. They are stuck in a spiritual realm that offer them supernatural abilities. And it's very hard unbrainwash a brainwash person. lol

@holleracturboy And that's where we come in. In the U.S., we are bombarded with dogma. Whether its religious, social or political, its dessiminated and it leads people astray because if you don't think about what you're listening to, you become a puppet to propaganda. That's why we have this movement for freethought and Humanism because Religion and its proponents have failed humanity and now its the humans turn to think for themselves. And we're helping to lead the movement.

I am so grateful for your story, we need more of faces that look like us out for this movement. I've been thinking for myself for 5 years now and there is so much freedom in it. It's like the blinders have come off, and it does get lonely when you are the only one in your community who has this outlook. I teach my children to think critically & ask questions. We want people to know that they have a support base and to not allow these theists make you feel isolated. You are not the only person questioning religion.

You obviously went to the wrong church. You base your fall from grace because of Jim Bakker? It didn't make sense because you have NO faith. A teenager made a selfish and uninformed decision. Know this...God does not grant your every wish! God grants us with what we need & when we need it & if He doesn't grant your every desire, it doesn't mean He doesn't exist. You all make it sound so convenient to join you but the unhappy and sinful life ahead won't compare to the joy you can have in Christ.

@connick2111 What exactly is the right church Connick? What makes your church more right than the three churches that reside on the same block?

As a teenager, I was utilizing my critical thinking skills and saw that your so-called religious leaders were liars and mistreating the people who trusted them. How do you explain that Connick? The day that I finally admitted that I could not longer accept mythology as facts was the most liberating day of my life.

@connick2111 I find that your claim to know what 'God' wants to be a very self-absorbed statement. If there is so much joy in Christ, then why are most xtians some of the most miserable people that I have ever met? It seems as though you are trying to convince yourself more than me.  I find it quite convenient how you claim that God grants you what you need, yet you feel the need to beg him for more? Why doesn't he answer the prayers of children starving in other countries?
