@HaukJRoesten It's still possible.. flexibility and muscle training are just the side-skills in the whole skill of knowledge and experience. If you could skip the latter two the first 2 (which you noted) are a laugh. And thoroughly I know what you mean and play the piano myself but I vouch this is true

I do not believe Darren after this. He had me on all the other videos. I play the piano myself and am a concert pianist. It is one thing to learn to play the notes maybe subconsciously but not the style and the body language developed over years of good habits, bad habits, good heroes and bad heroes. That pinky up in the air thing she is doing is LEARNED and is a bad habit that cannot be instantly induced.

@dreadrocksean I'm not a concert pianist but I've played for a few years, and I don't think the pinky in the air thing takes learning, precisely because it's so universal. you need to look at the extraordinary context of this experiment, it's a bad habit that could theoretically be picked up by a beginner on a hyper-accelerated course where the natural tendency hasn't been isolated and corrected.

1/ 'bad habit' and 'accelerated course' contradict each other.

2/ She was not allowed to touch the piano before the performance.

3/ Also, the pinky is not isolated as evidence. Her body language is also learned from being around other pianists. Very much reminiscent of the girls back in my piano school at afternoon lessons.

1. Every instrument has "common mistakes", they're common because instruments are physically awkward and natural tendencies take over, they later become "bad habits".

2. He taught her to read music and the corresponding piano keys, and the physical practice was substituted with confidence and meditation.

3. She's seen pianists, and body language is near universal.

1/ Your argument is again contradictory. '..later become bad habits' does not go with 'accelerated course'.

2/ How does one develop a bad physical habit by 'confidence and meditation'?

3/ As with every discipline, observation and actual practice are very far apart. According to your logic, dancers can be developed purely by observation. What one usually discovers is that it is not as easy as it looks

@dreadrocksean Natural tendencies take over when playing instruments, which LATER become bad habits, tendencies become bad habits if not corrected. The confidence and meditation taught her how to play, it didn't correct any naturally occurring mistakes. I know that music and dance are not easy to learn at ALL, but like with intense practice, the skills can be trained during intense meditation. Watch the end of this video, it notes she stopped playing piano at seven, so she had the fundamentals.
