Why not just encourage automakers to make electric cars? That'd cut the emissions by more than 50% if they were bought en mass. Too bad enviromorons often have no foresight. On average, the new speed limit will not cut speed much. Average speed on the autobahn is less. There will be more aggressive driving, more accidents, etc, because the slower drivers will now block faster drivers instead of moving over. Hope this disappears soon.

we have not the enough technology to develop 'green' batteries, because the common ones cause a lot of pollution whet ther're made, also the expected lifespan of the battery is around 100,000 miles.

still much less than gas cars, especially including refining, transporting, etc with oil, and ive heard that theyre getting better. never mind that if they put more money into it, they could go far longer than 100000 miles, and 100000 miles isnt THAT bad, especially if its a cheaper car. bad for more expensive ones though

amm electric or hybrid cars are more expensive than a normal car. i think that the city cars should be electric but i do love gas.

anyway if we want to take care of the environment personally think that we should go for smaller cars (with smaller engines) and walk a little more ;)
