At second 5:10 you can see the rails making an angle to turn while in fact it should be a curve. Can you guys tell why you are unable to make curves with you graphic engines? Its a problem that keeps comming back each time a new game is out: Programmers cannot build curves and we see angles everywere why is it so hard?

Of course they can make it a curve but that would add extra poly's to the rail model. People don't tend to notice such things and they made it like that to save R_speeds. But nice observation ^^

Actually Alyx does not die. In a picture in pc gaming for half life 2 episode 2 it shows alyx in the gunner seat of a new vehicle which means she probably survives

It is known for a while now that she survives the train crash yes. She even helps you out with the gravity gun at the start. But later on 'something' will happen to her. Judging by the marks on her back it looked like a headcrab tried to mount her...Who knows.

About how they made it so the map stretches out when u make a level u gotta make a "skybox" and put it on the outskirts to make it appear there but still be unaccessable i think they said it in one of the commentaries at the beginning.
