don't you just get the impression that the police are just using these protests as an opportunity to practice their tactics? The use of undercover police is nothing new but they seem to be using larger numbers these days. This is like a training exercise. They don't care who they arrest, so long as they rough them up, bring them in, and terrify people in the crowd...

You can also watch two of these officers charge into a crowd, 1 barges into a protester, grabs him, spins him around, takes swings at him.

A uniformed officer comes to the aid of the protester, until the 2nd undercover flashes a card behind his back and the officer turns away.

The two undercovers run off into the crowd. The student is left visibly shaken at being attacked by a burly bloke and is being consoled by his girlfriend.

Thats a really stupid thing to do. Not only could it very easily lead to serious injury but it also robs the students of their cause. Lots of students have been coming out at this time of year for many years trying to put their point across to highlight the profit drive motivations of those in government at the expense of the education system...first they were hijacked by those intent on violence and now they are hijacked by the police....I really feel sorry for the students, I really do.
