  • he must be using dead eye

  • @chocolatebeags Nah man.... VATS

  • "where did that come from?" that guy just lost shit ton of money hehe

  • He used wing chun kung fu

  • lol, anyone know the name of the "song" . The one in the background ?

  • @frediriiko Rocky road too dublin by the dubliners

  • Once the cloth was thrown everything the opponent did was controlled by sherlock.........good.

  • I love hit when he said discombobulate..."DISCOMBOBULATE!!"

  • I love this movie and it kinda gets me thinking that he knows alot about the body like its weak points and where to strike to get the maximum effect. So if you were a doctor wouldnt it help you alot knowing about the body. And i know someone who is a third degree black belt and said that one of those moves (the one where he strikes the ears) could completely make it so you couldnt move imagine getting hit with all of those.

  • Well it maybe good fight skills but I would try that unless someone pointed a gun or knife.

  • wonder if i could pull this off when some jackass decides its a good idia to spit at me...? discombobulate him to the piont of braindamage.

  • physical recovery:6 weeks

    psychological recovery: 6 months

    one word, Genius !

  • i like the part where he says dislocate jaw entirely lol and where he startes to explain all the damage done lol this movie has made me smarter.

  • Now imagine if he just screwed it all up XD

  • @withagun76 for 1.) he wouldnt he a Gunius..... BUT on the other hand IF he did he would be screwed

  • Sherlock Holmes is a badass

  • he's a baddaman.

  • Thought this was interesting

Director of photography Philippe Rousselot used a special high-speed digital camera specifically to film the Punchbowl fight sequence. The key moment where Holmes punches his opponent's jaw, was filmed one second in real-time and turned into a seven-second shot without additional post-production aid.

  • Thought this was interesting

In the stories, Holmes is described to be an expert in Baritsu. In the film however, the martial art that Holmes used is the Wing-Chun Kung Fu (famously used by Ip Man and Bruce Lee). Robert Downey Jr. is a practitioner of the art in real-life and the fight scene between him and David Garrick at Punchbowl Pit was coordinated with the help of his trainer.

  • Love this part of movie

  • The fighting techinique he is using is Ving Tsun.

  • This is what happens when you combine brains with brawn.

  • A bit hasty. He had time with an open palm to the chin, thus giving him a concussion as well.

  • First: Distract Target, then: block his blind jab. Counter with cross to left cheek; discombobulate. Dazed, he will attempt wild haymaker; employ elbow block and body shot. Block Ferreau Left. Weaken right jaw, now fracture. Break cracked ribs, traumatize Solar Plexus, dislocate jaw entirely. Heel kick to diaphragm. In summary: ears ringing, jaw fractured, three ribs cracked, four broken, diaphragm haemmoraging. Physical recovery: 6 weeks. Psychological recovery: 6 months.

  • @mariobroz27 Copasity to spit in back of head.. neturalized ! AWSOME!

  • @mariobroz27 I think it's "block feral left".

  • @Domovoi07 ok i probably misheard it

  • LOL!, someone said, 'where did that come from?!' after sherlock won the fight

  • I liked the part where he hit the guy.

  • @EagleNL21 what part specifically? please elaborate :D.

  • @mogbilay The part where his fist connected with the guy's body.

  • @mogbilay I think he means that time, where he hit him with the hand. :)

  • @mogbilay That's the joke of it. He like the part where he hit the guy. Well, he hit the guy the whole video! So the humor lies in that fact. Subtle, but very funny. I lol'd at that comment.

  • @EagleNL21 i liked the part where he stopped moving

  • @EagleNL21

LMAO I like that part Too!

  • very nice

  • That discombobulate move is pure nonsense. It leaves you open to a vicious counter. Who the hell does that? F'in guy ritchie doesn't know what he's doing.

  • @footballer010 thats totally wut i thot 2

  • @footballer010

I think Holmes realized that his opponent was not too quick witted, therefore he could expect a slow reaction time

  • @footballer010 That's because real fighting isn't very cinematic. Ritchie needed to make it a little bit flashy, so you got the old "discombobulate" move. Just be glad he didn't make Holmes assume the crane stance and deliver a spinning heel kick to the head.

  • @footballer010 actually, discombobulating someone in a fight is probably the best move you can make, and it doesnt leave you open depending on what u have done before the move. sherlock holmes both blinded him and fractured his jaw. by the time he cupped the ears, the guy was discombobulated already. so ritchie guy does actually kno wut he's talking about

  • Where did that come from?

    best line ever

  • teach me!!! please??

  • I know this a movie and all. But, god damn that punch to the face had to hurt. I wonder how they do it?

  • Downey is using Wing Tsun techniques. Very good.

  • Discombobulate still make me laugh :L

  • 1:29 gotta love their WTF face ^^

  • and following song after this: The Dubliners: Rocky Road To Dublin

    do this even work?

    lolo poor jaw.

  • "Ears ringing. Jaw fractured. Three ribs cracked, four broken. Diaphram hemmoraging. Physical recovery: six weeks. Full psychological recovery: six months." Christ, Sherly. What happened to, "This must not register on an emotional level"?

  • @Cerberusballs you forgot insomery!

  • @TheBlahamuras What's insomnery?

  • @Cerberusballs i got no idea :D

  • @Cerberusballs i think it meant " in summary "

  • @Cerberusballs i think wut he ment wuz he wuz gunna pwn the guy and not bother w/ getting mad... but idk

  • @Cerberusballs you forgot about the capacity to spit in back of head, neutralized

  • @Cerberusballs He said "This must not register on an emotional level" because he saw Irene's signature and knew she was near

  • @CR0M3T4LZ0N3 Well, damn. I think she's seen what effect she has on him.
