Se trata de una danza característica de la Cofradía de pescadores de San Pedro en el pueblo costero de Lekeitio, -País Vasco-, bailada anualmente con ocasión de la renovación de las autoridades de la misma, durante la procesión de homenaje a su santo patrono. En la kutxa (cofre) sobre el cual se desarrolla el baile, se guardan las actas de la Cofradía.
