@SatelliteHeartTrans sucks it's open man. you can always talk to holysmokinpipepadre about how to make it moist again. he had a lot of success with old tobaccos and making them good. especially if it's already been opened. enjoy the baccy!
That is some good music. I haven't tried the real Nightcap, the only thing I can get around here is the Brigham's Mr B's Days End which is supposed to taste like Nightcap, but never having tried the real thing, I couldn't say how close it is. It is a great tobacco though.
This is one of my favorite tobaccos, and something that I should probably smoke more of. It's weird, but I find something I like, and then I hardly smoke it because I want to hold onto it forever! Kind of defeats the purpose, huh! But I will be busting this one out again soon since it's been sitting for a couple months. Good review, Paul. - Jeff
Man I have to get me a tin of this stuff. I used to smoke it YERAS ago when I could buy it in bulk. It was one of my daily favorites. I want to see if it as good as i remembered. Cheers!
I enjoy Nightcap myself. Got to say, you look happy....excitedly happy smoking your Nightcap. It is one of those aromas that takes you back to another place but you can't quite put your finger on it. Like comfort food.
I've been tempted to give this one a try for a while but a bit wary of the reputation for it being a face melting nicotine canon. What do you reckon - safe to smoke for average joe?
@41DegreesSouth I'd say do it. It's not as heavy an english as I thought it'd be. And i come from the cigarette side of things so I haven't felt the effects of nicotine for awhile. But why not? And even if you're not ready for it you can let it sit and marinate until you and then it'll be even better.
I've been nervous since I'm still new to English tobacco. How was the nicotine kick? I know it made my brother sick the first time, but he likes it now. Maybe I'll just start small. :-) - Steve
Thanks for the heads up on letting it sit and marinate for a bit...gonna give the fresh stuff a break and return to it in a week or two. I think it's pretty decent fresh from the tin, so if it gets even better, I'm stoked.
Just got a tin today, absolutely wonderful. I'm taking your advice and letting it sit for a few weeks now.
A local antique dealer here has a full (Sadly, opened) tin from the 1960's. I'm thinking that might be my Christmas present to myself.

@CramCake2 It really does, but the $27.50 price tag makes up for it. I'll find a way, believe me!

When you let it sit was it in the tin opened but , vacuum seal was broke?
samhobson30 4 months ago
@samhobson30 yes, but it gives it time to lose some of that moisture and the tobacco just kinda melds with itself. I love it.
