This A100 is now two organs behind.the next A is now in Norway and my present one is a C3 that came with a 760 for £180.I sold the 760 for £175 as i already had the 910 ,so the C3 stands me in at £5.Also just got a C3,R100,Leslies 710,700,515 and an Eminent tone cabinet for £200.But yours were incredibly cheap.
You guys are going to hate me, but the last two A-100's I picked up were $25.00 for a redcap, and $150.00 for a waxcap with a midi interface already installed on the great.
I always put my two cents in on the B3/A100 debate. I had a 62' A102 and a 59ish Leslie 122. It just never had the balls that the M3 had with the 122. I think much is to be said about the AO28 preamp. With this preamp it is without a doubt a B3 in a different box.
Adrian- can you recommend any exercises to limber up the fingers from a theater organ point of view?
Hi denvermorgan.do you know,i have no idea what drawbars i was using.Im a serial drawbar mover so fiddle with them all the time-but yes it does sound great and is very satisfying to play.
Pat-yes there is no point in breaking the bank to get a B3 when the A100 is the same.
Hi Pat-Wow that was quick-it was recorded and uploaded within the hour-about an hour ago.Yes they are mechanically identical to the C3/B3 but worth only a fraction -hence why i have an A100 not a B3!!
There are of these organs still around as many do not know that it is the very same as a Hammond B-3 organ. B-3 organs go for $5000 on up as these A-100 are about $1000 on eBay.
@patsaxon I would rather have an A100 or a C3 i dont really think its worth it to pay top dollar for the sound when the A100 can be had for a fraction of the cost.
