  • just a bump for info...

the R18 ECU will compensate 5% +/- richness/leaness to tune itself. According to honda. This is why the ECU will lower the whp. I would assume that the 9hp run was done without resetting the ECU and after it learned for a bit then you guys got 3hp.

  • I bought this same header a while back and absolutely hated it. It made the car sound like shit, and it had no torque until you got up into the high rpm's. I suggest anyone looking at buying one, don't. I'll sacrifice the 5hp for a better sounding better torqued car.

  • so what were your numbers to the wheels? and what all is on it during this dyno? thanks.

  • wow im disappointed that sounds like shit. with the r18 can you do a 4-2-1 header, im confused as to the necessity of that ball thing.

  • Actually the 4 to 1 is done inside the block, therefore there is no room for a real header. A huge design flaw for the Non-Si owners. Keep in mind that was a prototype.

  • wait, so theres just one hole coming out of the exhaust side of the block? thats really weird.

  • i wonder if hondata makes a reflash for the R18 that would let the header get all its 9 hp?

  • I would think so. It would make sense for anything but the ECU to be correcting the physical mods.

  • sounds real weird...maybe it's just the video...bump for better sound.

  • could u tell me what was hp thanx to that header?

  • man that thing was glowing!

  • So that's what it looks like under my hood when I get onto the highway. I wonder if that heat causes any problems to the things around the cat.

  • dude there is no cat anymore
