  • we jus back from langkawi 2day 1night(shit, miss alot of nice place)...but we had alot of fun...we went for island hoping(pulau dayang bunting, pulau beras basah and eagle feeding)..if u like crowded can go for pantai chenang but if u looking for relax place highly recommended datai bay and Tanjung Rhu(i like this beach)...cable car a must place to go and telaga tujuh waterfall also a nice place...

  • great video and scenes ...i am coming soon to malaysia i was wondering ..is there a free duty area in langkawi and what other activities could one do in there? and is smoke available in langkwai???

  • and please the best hotels available...and by best i mean hotels which include private beaches and lots of activities ...not small hotels ...

  • @underoath115

This is the expensive hotels available...

Located at Tg. Rhu (the best main land beaches you could get - in my opinion)

    - Four Seasons Hotel & Resort

    - Tg. Rhu Resort Langkawi

    Thank You.

I'm glad you have chosen Malaysia as your travel destination this time.

    Welcome to Malaysia... soon :)

Definitely there’s a lots of Free Duty Shops you can get in Town and it’s actually everywhere.

  • Other than having fun, sweet and romantic moments at the beautiful beaches (Tg. Rhu beach – Highly recommended!) you can go for :

    1) Island Hoping

    2) Mangrove – Ecotourism

    3) Cable Car (unfortunately currently close for maintenance from August 17 till September 05 2010.

    4) Free Duty Shopping! (Much choices at Pekan Kuah and happening/fun shopping at Cenang during Night)

    5) Telaga Tujuh Waterfall (If you really like adventures & exercise to climb it up)

  • 6) Go to Pulau Payar for amazing snorkeling experience; you can even swim with jaws.

    … And lots more!

    If smoke available…?

    Did you mean smoking?

    It’s allowed. But I don’t recommend this. ☺

Hey, I will be on Langkawi with my boyfriend this coming weekend. Unfortunately we only have 1,5 days. Thus: What do you strongly recommend doing? And where do I book the island hopping and what will it cost? Thanks for the advices in advance... :-)

  • @haenki88 Hi there, What I would recommend you stay at Cenang so you could safe time enjoy Nightlife along the streets (best to get great food and go shoppings). During the day highly recommend go for Island Hopping (RM40-50 per person) Can get it most everywhere (at nearby shops, hotels, car rentas - just make sure you get the cheapest!) This took about 4 hours - then, in the evening you could go for the cable car for a beautiful scene - a must say!
