Well we are the DRYEST continent on earth. Our rainfall is nowhere near the rest of the world, and consequently we suffer from drought.

i have always been wondering, how can austrailia be under a drought? it doesn't matter if you don't have rain. you are surrounded by giant body of water which is the ocean. why can't you guys make some sort of plant where you can purify salt water, like we do here. (i don't know the name of the plant)

Yeah there's been talk about that.. the public doesn't seem to keen tho' for some reason.

In general.. the Australian government is just too dumb to know where the right places to build dams are. It actually rains quite a bit where the dams aren't.

@supercell1995 Desalinization plants are really expensive and there juat arent enough accessable locations fo them to be placed without them being disturbers of of peace in towns or cities.
