  • so glad my parents listened to him and other great country singers like charlie pride george jones and waylon jennings. now i know what great music is.

  • @BeautyAndCheer

Just what is it you don’t like. The fact he has a voice and can sing and you can understand each and every word. or the fact they can get their meaning across with out cussing. Unlike most of the so called singers of today who have to riley on loud drum’s and bass guitar because they don’t have a voice and are incapable of pronouncing their words. So they have to mix the so called song with a lot of cuss words.

  • @Thunderdualy I didn't write this my stepdad did! :P I'm a kid!

  • I need a distraction..

Ladies and gentlemen, mr conway twitty

  • If Conway had sang that song to me, I WOULD MELT LIKE HOT BUTTER ON A BISCUIT...

  • Just luv it

  • Thumbs up if you think she let him get after the show, thumbs down for no

  • wow this right here is the good stuff, real singing not all the computerized electric crap today

  • While she didn't sing in this one, it's important to note that Conway Twitty only did duets with 2 female singers... one of which was Loretta Lynn. (Actually, the *majority* of his duets was with Loretta. Anybody care to tell who the other one was?)

  • @MostQuality Joni Lee

  • im in love with him <3

  • is'nt this fun? these are real people, not storybook children.

  • This song and vid will bring a tear to your eye and put a smile on your face at the same time.

  • Any woman that breathes would melt with his looking and singing to you like that! Whew!!

  • And now......Conway Twitty

  • I think that in very that moment every man had wanted to be Conway and every woman had wanted to be Loretta.

  • well i can say im 26 now and i was lucky my grandma had a thing for conway and she took me to a show of his in 1991

  • love the classics

  • Darkdragonsqd is right..she has that smile, and her sister has the voice of an Angel. It just won't ever be this good, ever again. RIP Conway, we will always love and cherish your music. Semper Fi.

  • the all-time greatest hair in show business

  • Ernest Tubb,Conway Twitty much to soon they left this world in tears so I ask Who's Gonna Fill Their shoes , I Love Ms Loretta and thanks for sharing ..

  • music long forgotten!

  • This song is for real lovers. These great Americans, true pioneers of expressing true love and having their music touch others. Sensational.

  • THE BEST DUO IN COUNTRY MUSIC HOW WILD IT MUST HAVE BEEN FOR CONWAY TO SING THIS SONG TO LORETTA WHAT A CLASS ACT COUNTRY AT IT'S BEST

  • they would of made a nice couple

  • I'm not exactly what you would call a country music lover but this is a classic in any genre. Conway was so smooth with this song that he had lil Loretta ready to melt. A true country legend.

  • Heart-meltingly gorgeous!

  • wow. it's great when you read all the comments and see how country music is the best, you see people calling them Conway and Loretta, not Conway Twitty or Loretta Lynn. It just adds more of a familyness to everything, that's what's the best. Also it's truly ashamed that there was never a relationship that the public knew of, there was totally something special there. There'll never be another couple like them!

  • Now that's a singer, not some techno retard

  • I'm 13 and I grew up with this music. I love Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty. Me and my Grandma and Grandpa can sit and listen to them and sing with them and it's just wonderful times :) <3 You better believe i'll never take my friends, family or my love for granted.

  • I always listening to this song after a break up ;(

  • 2 legends

  • I will never forget his songs and that voice.

Conway is country and always will be...

I smile at the memories that he has left

behind for us...God Bless. *Country Girl*

  • This is the number 1 country song of all time

  • You can see Dew in the video "Love is the Foundation" where Loretta is singing to him...He and Earnest Tubb look nothing alike LOL

  • that is NOT her husband sitting with her. That is Earnest Tubb. Look up Loretta singing to her husband on here and you will plainly see this was not him...

  • love this song

  • love this song, reminds me of my mum and dad..

  • she has the smile of a saint

  • Love this song!!

  • I can't believe it's been eighteen years..

  • It doesn't get any better than that!! I MISS CONWAY!

  • That was so sweet at the end when he told Loretta he loved her; you can tell they had alot of genuine love and respect for one another. That was musical union made in heaven.

  • emotions from heart. i love this masterpiece.. but i'm sad if i think that those 2 stars were not married! hell..

  • its amazing how music can move you.It doesnt matter what part of the world you live in.Just realizing how big of a smile I had on my face at the end of this song says alot to me.Luckily for all of us moments like this are on film and we can enjoy it years later.

  • Ladies and gentlemen.. Mr.Conway Twitty. - Family Guy

  • 0:18-0:24 tells me they had alot going on. Pretty easy to read their eyes and smiles...

  • judy flores i love you and i miss you, you will be in my heart for ever, just to hear this song make me think how happy i was whit you. am sorry and am in mexico waiting for you, kiss my babies for me. i miss my family.

  • I was born in the wrong era.

  • @thesecretscene01 Me too, born in the eighties but love this good ol music.

  • Hes a true great singer, no damn modules to amp his voice, no damn synthesizers to make crap look like gold. Too bad young people are into "fake" these days, huh?

  • So beautiful. Conway we all love you.

  • I'd say an adulterous relationship would have been a shame but I'm sure Loretta was not capable. She's too much of an angel. Her man was very blessed to have her and I hope he appreciated her. I don't think they get any better than her.

  • he loved her you can tell

  • Deep in your smile, there's a cold and soft desire. like the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemmmmmmmmmbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr. Of a once raging fire.

  • i love it

  • damn this is country

  • The second he says "Hello Darlin", I start to melt! There will NEVER be another Conway!!<3

  • This was filmed at the Ryman in fall of 1981 for Loretta's TV special "The lady..the legend. I was there and saw it live. Loretta's real husband, Doo, was there with her but not in the film clips. The had to film this take over a few times. At one point Doo came on stage and acted like he was gonna hit Conway on the head with a guitar. It was hilarious. The older guy on the left is Ernest Tubb not long before he died.

  • @Randyscountry LOL that's great

  • watch1:16 to 1:38 .. looks like memories came to mind... they are great together

  • Who was behind Loretta? Never mind! Hello Darling hits the best of all love pitches. The genius Conway forever in love.

  • dew is ready to kick his ass lol

  • dew is ready to kick his ass lol

  • what person would 'dislike' this song..seriously?

  • He was always my fantasy lover .

  • this is a great song

  • When I first heard them sing I thought they were married and I was so disappointed When I found out they weren't!!I love them both!!!!!

  • That is her husband. Notice when he said how is your new love, she loved at her husband & smiled. I love them both both I did think it was a little disrespectful to the husband.

  • @lovecountryconway The man sitting next to Loretta isn't her husband. It's country star and Loretta's dear friend Ernest Tubb. :)

  • I have always loved Conway Twitty's songs. He was the greatest singer of all times. My favorite is Hello Darlin. It broke my heart when he died. His songs are the oyster. Love every song he sang.

  • My God.....he still makes me weak in the knees. Gorgeous, beautiful man.

  • hey isn't that Ernst Tubbs to the right of Loretta Lynn?

  • @MrGojoe3 i mean to the left her right.

  • I like how his hair moves with eyebrows.

  • I think he really loves her and sang that song right to her. He puts so much feeling to that song.

  • Just makes you think about how faithful Loretta was???? Looks like gilt to me don't care because there my favorite duet singers. That are country legends

  • Did anyone catch the look Loretta gave Conway at 1:29....Just wondering.

  • @MigaxdS91 Oh I noticed that, and I'm sure that she loved him in a friend way. But I don't think that they would've had an "intimate relationship" Cause she got pissed when Doolittle cheated on her! That's where she got the song you ain't woman enough.

  • Is it me or does it seem like she forgot the lyrics at one point? Awesome video; thanks for posting.

  • ♥ SIGH ♥

  • Wow.....that smile, that song, those heart melting expressions, that voice......still blows me away, I grew up with Conway's songs, loved him then, love him now.....a truly fantastic country music gentleman.......may his music live forever!!

  • such an amazing song,

  • They were my favorite duo. I love them both. Good people.

  • Look at her smile at 19..........cant hide that feeling.....smiles

  • impressive video

  • back in 1993 when this song was playing on the car stereo, i was on my way to DeRidder, LA. for grocery shopping with my boys in the car. when the song was over my oldest asked me who is that singing moma? before i could answer the DJ came on and said "Conway Passed away last night."

I had to pull the car over just to catch my breath,,,,,,,Conway maybe gone from this world but the lives he has touched, like mine are more precious, because we had Canway in our lives.

  • small world... i am from DeRidder, LA myself...

  • @TheInsanetrucker I was driving to my camping spot in Cle Elum Washington when I heard it on the radio. I had to pull over too because I couldn't believe it. My girlfriend at the time knew how much I liked Conway so she was especially good to me during our little vacation.

  • @TheInsanetrucker amen brother....he will never be forgotten

  • something I really admire about this man, is that his voice is the same at studio and live.

  • i think thats ernestubb with loretta

  • good old green song

  • kilig ako haayyy.... galing mo Mr Conway..

  • never been a song like this!!!!! Never will be again either!!!!

  • with that talent and that hair conway was def a ladies man

  • Did Loretta Lynns husband have You Tube??? That could be the only 1 dislike.

  • People might not believe this comment but Im a 17 year old Black man and I really like this song! My grandad listens to this along with some dude Don Williams? But anyways I think Im a new fan of this type of Country music. Can any body suggets any artist similar to this? Thanks in advance

    -Trent

  • @roberymyhobyg

    Trent-

A few artists to check out are Faron Young, Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Waylon Jennings and Ray Price for classic Country. George Strait, and Chris Young are two for more modern country. But no one really comes close to Conway for singing straight to the heart of a woman.

  • @zephiey Thanks. Ive heard of a few of the people u listed.

  • @roberymyhobyg i know this is late but being a truck driver i cant get online much. you are a new fan of country music. follow your roots back a few years and learn of Charlie pride, he was the first black man to sing country on the world stage. find the country cowboy trail songs,,to1970's to present.Don Williams sings a song that will make you wanna find the right girl. "Amanda"...ernest tubb, Lynn Anderson,,so many more.or check out my channel.

  • Such an awesome video, thanks for uploading it!

  • yes i can agree to that 100%

  • I wanna punch the one person who did not like this in the face. perfusely..

  • @myself462 How polite you must be...I'ld like to kick their ass!!!

  • wow!!!!!!! chill bumbs all over my body....this is true meaning of country,,, nothing will ever compare to this. this comes from the heart this is true feelings this is wht country used to be nd now its bullshit....why did usa loose its taste of country?

  • Nothing but a great CLASSIC !

  • we all really miss him - he had a terrific voice - one of the best

  • CONWAY AND LORETTA WAS A GREAT SINGING DUEIT,SAW CONWAY INPERSON IN MY HOME TOWN BEFOR HE DIED HE WAS SO GOOD GOOKING AND HE HAD THE MOST BEAUITFUL SELVER WHITE HAIR HE WELL LIVE ON THROUGH HIS MUSIC VIDEO'S.

  • I did get the chance to see him play at a rodeo in michigan. It was such a great time. I was just a little girl then. He will forever have my heart. I am sad that the good ones cant be around forever and no one will match his voice. As soon as he starts with "hello darlin", I just melt.

  • Conway Twitty was one of the original playboys! He could sing his way into any womans panties.

  • @JByrd029

You have no clue. I was fortunate to meet Conway. He was the most genuine, humble, kind, caring person. He had a real love for his fans and deep commitment to give of himself EVERY time he walked on stage.

  • @ddpokerman13 Don't tell me I have no clue fella, you might be surprised of what I know and love about Old Harold Jenkins.

  • I MISS THE GRAND OPRY BUT THESE WAS THE DAYS AS FROM CHILDHOOD UP THANKS TO MY DAD,! I REMEMBER SEEING THESE 2 TOGETHER MANY TIMES

  • dang! he had me at hello darlin!

  • Comment removed

  • These were the days when life was fun, and people were real.

  • Better than Romeo and Juliet.

  • True country and true American! Love you Conway!

  • never should of died....

  • HELLO DARLIN..... the 2 most famous words in musical history

  • You can tell when Conway sang this song to Loretta that he truely loved her and she loved him in return! If they didn't have an intimate relationship, it's a shame.

  • @yes u are truly right

  • @slsteve1000 it is possible to have a deep and true love that is not sexual; that is a long abiding friendship. Loretta was too classy of a lady to be a cheater. And Conway respected her. Theirs was a long, beautiful friendship.

  • CmC1131981 Hey I think she was a classy lady but with all the trouble she had out of Dew her husband, I wouldn't blame her if she did. and then you look at how long she stayed on the road away she had to have someone Why not Conway?

  • @slsteve1000 That is a great version of his great song, and there are rumors around that they did have an intimate relationship , no one will ever know for sure but I have read comments from people who knew them on the road ........they were soul mates that was always obvious so if they did why not, maybe they were meant to be ..

  • @slsteve1000 i couldnt agree more

  • @slsteve1000 You are so right Conway and loretta are perfect together. And at the end when he says god bless you she nearly broke then but thank the lord for singers like them two they were great together.

  • @slsteve1000 I wouldn't think so. Considerin' what she done to Doolittle when he cheated on her!

  • @slsteve1000 I wouldn't think so. Considerin' what she done to Doolittle when he cheated on her! but then again, I think that they kissed each other on the lips at the end.

  • he always had the talent for sounding so hurt in these types of songs, made them seem so believeable

  • Many people criticise Family Guy for putting clips of Conway in their show but I would like to say:

Thank you Family Guy!!!!! For introducing me to this great Artist... We dont know much about Country Music in Europe... But I just love Conway Twitty...

Wish I could get the chance to see him live...

  • @MITR86

That would be impossible...Conway died in 1993.

  • Conway Twitty's voice is amazing...Lorretta is beautiful...Country music is probably the best kind of music in the world.

  • LOVE THIS!!!!

  • Oh I just LOVE this!!!!

  • i'm sure he was in love with Loretta, she was so beautiful,lovely..... every men would fall in love with her!!!!
