I've been driving truck for 26 yrs. I have never been put outa service!!! You put this video on here to brag about your accident and place blame on another. Grow up and slow down!!!!
sorry for your wreck but no it didn't all happen because she didn't speak english and turned in front of you...that was just part of it...the english had nothing to do with it...the main part was you over reacted...i'm glad you and your family are ok...but...what did the o/o have to do with it? you were the driver...again i'm sorry it happened and i can't say i wouldn't have made the same mistake...hopefully we'll all learn from it
#1 mistake you made was taking your truck off the road for some stupid old bitch. She is not worth killing yourself or your family. Aint nobody worth that I dont care who is in the other vehicle.
It's good you are all okay. This goes to show that using your blinker is always better than taking the chance of losing your life. I drive truck as well and too many people do not realize that we can not stop on a dime or switch lanes as fast as they do. 80,000 lbs hitting a little car or little truck, 95% of the time ends up being catastrophic.
Should have t-boned her. I drive a bus and there is no way im jerking because some nitwit cant drive. They make the mistake they pay for it, not me or my passengers...
i just rolled mine last week and got slightly bruises, well right now i have no job yet but most of my trucking budies still want me to drives theirs and this show that my prestige haven't drop yet but
if i am a new driver i bet none of my friends would off their rigs to me
Believe me if u are experienced driver with a good attitude they surely hire u
hey look at the bright side, no one was killed. u must have flipped hard to tear the steer axel out from underneith the truck. i drove for an owner op and i got shut down for a broken leaf on the steer axel and 2 brakes out of adjustment. some o/o s you really gotta watch.
Wow Driving I don't think that I knew this. Its a good thing that everything and everyone are ok. This video just goes to show bad things can happen to anyone!! Thanks for sharing this video with us!
First: I don't think "all" O/Os fail to keep their equipment up.
Second: The inability to speak english translates to the inability to be able to read and understand road signs and directions, so if they can't speak the language they should NOT be driving.
Third: knowing what you know now, if the same situation came up again, would you opt to hit the trailer or would you try to avoid it as you did in 07?
Wow amazing you guys got out of it as lucky as you did .Scary the way that some "wanna be companies" turn people out with equipment that isnt any good or falling apart and expect them to drive it anyways.I know the owner ops have to make a living but do they have to at our expense???
This accident was an eye opener for you,so please let us use it to open the eyes of our drivers and other like yourself. My husband and I are trying a new approuch at safety and trying to make a deferrence rather than pointing a finger as to who is at fault.Start with your own and hope it spreads like butter and sticks like glue. Thanks PCOOLEY66
Drivingmylifeaway: First off I would like to say "thank god you and your family are alive and well". Second I would like to ask your permission to use this video in a safety meeting for our truck drivers. I am the wife of a Safety Director and we are trying to touch the hearts of our drivers. To bring back the pride of being a truck driver. The truckers of the world are apart of all our survival and the fabric of the US.
glad your wife and son are doing well but if u had been paying attention to traffic in front of you that wouldnt of happened and i dont see why you think the owner is responsible i myself am a trucker and know that those four wheelers cause 80-90% of these accidents but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade
i dont wanna rag on the dude after hid wife was hurt and all, and i hope she is now fine.. fact is that 90% of rollovers are driver error i.e. ti fast in a curve, hard braking, dropping off the roadway onto shoulder. having said that if the company was shut down for saftey violations that reflects the drivers as much as it does the company. as a driver you are ultimatly resposible for your safety and that of the public. if they say run and you cant then dont its that simple.
I find it funny that every one jumps on here yelling at the truck driver and asking questions that are stated in the video, read, pay atention and there not called on purpose there called ACCIDENT'S how about this for a coment, Thank God you are all ok and good to see your still trucking. John.B CEO (The Brotherhood of Truckers)
Been there done that..Only mine was hit by a train after landing on RR tracks. I got out the driver did not. Somehow he lived. They found my wallet on the front of the Amtrac train.
Glad to hear you're all okay. My dad is a trucker in Elk City, OK hauling oil equipment. Every time I see photos like this and hear things in the news about a truck wreck, I get chills. You guys have my respect; you keep America running. Nice vid.
what does it matter? Uh because this is america u idiot. In a case just as this I went to her and tried to see if she was ok and all I got was a bunch of bullshit out of her mouth. Keep ur mouth shut unless u got something decent to say u stupid ass.
So true. I can recall countless idiots that never signaled their intentions, but I never had to make any extreme moves that would have caused a rollover. You learn to expect the unexpected, and never tail gate and if there is little room for escape, slow down.
Glad to read all o.k. i was driving a flat fronted Truck when a semi (learner driver) came around a bend half on my side of the road, the result is on my channel
8 out of service citations in 11 years?!? Plus 7 tickets?!? It's a wonder you could get a job at all. Give Swift a call. I'm sure you would meet their hiring criteria.
he is talking about out of service violations under motor vehicle safety.. not personal driving record. it would have been up to him to refuse to go any further with the vehicle if the problems weren't fixed. of course the video doesn't state what safety concerns there were that contributed to the accident it just says someone didn't use a blinker which in turn can cause the safest truck on the road to crash regardless of driver skill
The tickets and out of service violations that I received were all because of the equipment. I can get a trucking job anywhere. And as far as working for swift no thanks. I have a great driving job now with a great company and Im extremely happy where I am.
