I got mine overclocked at 1100 mhz but it only shortins the life of your droid cause the chip isnt made to go higher than 550.It blows my mind that my pc from the 90's could never keep up with this phone.
@scavenger4life The droid's chip is actually underclocks, it was designed to run at 600mhz. Now thats the lowest the who batch on a wafer was designed to run but because of natural variance in 'things' in life, some chips can actually tolerate higher clocks. but when in doubt run it like stock =P
What's up with that crunching noise when you zoom in and out? Lol. Great video though. I use quadrant benchmark so I cam compare it to other fonts, but this is a really practical test.
@uwanaugoda Yes it consumes more power, hence why it gets hotter (more current flowing to the processor). But you can set your overclocking to specific tasks. i.e. set it lower when charging and when it's hibernating, and maxed out when in use. I personaly charge my phone daily and in the car, so i'm not worried about power usage.

@gltovar Eh, just get the official Froyo update.

@ItsTheChief117 cyanogen(mod) has been pretty good and it feels like a stock build of froyo.
