Upgrading to dual exhaust is pretty pointless if you are just going to get a why?-pipe. It's cheaper to swap out the factory muffler with a aftermarket axle back.
Great sound. How much trouble it was to install the kit, I heard it can be infuriating some times? Or did you get the job done by someone else, if so how much time it took? Thanks.
Hey GoFastDevil Nope. Kept the V6's Y pipe stock coming off the headers, attached the provided Y pipe adapter, then the two mid pipes, and GT mufflers. The Y to Y conversion acts just like a real X pipe but with benefits (I think). The exhaust gases still come into the Y to Y connection, but there is much less loss of back pressure as there would have been with a true X or H pipe. It does't sound like a rice fart can, and sounds very good for a V6. Deep and mellow. Very little drone at 2000RPM.
Hey Jack.... Thanks. Yes, I think the conversion works well, and sounds pretty darn good for a V6 Stang. And yes, you and I have the same tail light trim as well. I think it adds to the nostalgic look of the 60's. I like your videos a lot, since they cover so many different car models. very nice job !! I enjoyed them !

i thought h-pipe will give you a deeper tone, and performance so the engine can flow better,

Did you use a Y pipe or X pipe? Did you use the factory GT exhaust pipes to connect or did you use something else?

If u lose a lot of back-pressure with x or y, then what do u earn? better power at high rpm? do u actually earn enough with an x-pipe?
