jin was not the champion at the time of that battle. Serius Jones pretty much disgraced him and stole all his thunder. There seemed to be a growing dislike or might I say lack of respect for Jin after his battle with Serius.

People stopped thinking highly of jin after his battle with serius. Iron's lines were unnecessarily hyped, especially during his first verse.
