You are showing a lot of parts, but your video goes through it too fast, instead of being a build video. You have the Stillen body . Did you change camshaft? Did you use warspeed exhaust?

@tdme2 Ksport springs are a 2" drop, 3rd gens cant be lowered much because of their design, to do anything lower than 2" really or use coilovers you would be looking into $2000+ of work needing to be done, if you try a lower drop youre going to break alot
@ Nickdoof, even though the VE has 30hp more and is DOHC i prefer the VG. VE you have VTC's to worry about. VG is also a good base for the Z31 turbo, since Z31 300zx turbo had the VG30ET. the motor itself is slightly different, since Z31 had the same VG30E as 2nd gen Maxima but it doesnt take alot of modding to use on a 3rd gens
and the 30hp between the VG and VE is easy to gain with the VG, get a decent air intake, Y-pipe, and NIStune and thats about 30hp
@MrSparco777 Yeah, well I just slapped a y-pipe, intake, nos, and manifold spacers on my VE and it will produce a hell of a lot more HP then a VG with the same mods. But about the turbo set up, you do have a point.

All of the GXE had the VG30E, and the first few years SE had the VG30E as well but the last couple years of SE had the VE. It had 190hp instead of the 160hp the VG had and it has some other better stuff too.

yo man i had a 92 se with the ve motor, the main thing to worry about is when the timing gears start to go you will get a knock that will evenbtually make it sound like a bad valve tap, when that happens you need to get it fixed by nissan who charges approx. $1200 and can only be done by them because of a special tool needed to remove and install the gears, in my opinion i would only get the vg30 also because alot of those parts are interchangeable witha 300zx with the 3.0. because it is the
motor, and also atleast 2 years ago when i had my ve i could find almost no performance parts for it, including turbo kits, even down to exhaust and cams.

im picking up a ve tranny in a week or two(ill have to check the vin to see if it has the lsd), im just going to make hybrid halfshafts, so I dont need hubs.

Out of curiosity whuy are you swappin g your VG out? VG's are nice as fuck, sound sick plus u can put 25 psi and 600hp on that bad boy with stock internals. VE's r nice too but to me my VG maxima will always sound mean as fuck
Yup keeping the vg, the VE tranny is better(its limited slip diff trans)
I was talking with someone and said they are turboing their honda and running 8psi, he said 12 was pusshing it, and i was thinking man my engine can handle like 25psi stock... I have a 300zx turbo and the max, hopefully turbo and 5spd in the summer.

Not the fastest 3d gen Maxima nor the most powerfull.
My very budget built 3d gen with stock 245,000mi engine went 13.4@108mph.
In my vids on Youtube. And it's 100% stock except used turbo/injectors and tune.

More than likely he simply scuffed it and painted it to match, or he did body work to make it flush. It's done quite a bit on these.

Actually, the gearing on the VG trans is better (i miss it). The VE is tough to find . .
If you need a VG trans, shift linkage, mounts and all the other miscellaneous b.s., let me know. Mine is for sale, with low low miles.

no, that's the SOHC... 160hp stock... which is still quick on it's own. I have a 1991 SE 5 spd... thinking of going turbo if I decide to keep it.
