ummm u did verry well 4 a starter. i understand that it must hurt. im almost 12 years old and im getting my pointe shoes next year and my teacher says that it will be hard 2 be on pointe but u proved that if u try hard u can do great things!!!!!
I think you need to work on your posture, you seem to be falling back and arching your back quite a lot, and on pointe that is going to be a lot of weight on your toes and really damage them, but overall really good:)
Check out my pointe video, type in "springbabeey" in the search bar:) Thanks
a su su is a step where it is a very tight fifth postiion in releve. You get there by squeezing up. You want it to be very tight, with both feet turned out and thighs touching. When you do it, stay more turned out. This is a very basic ballet position and if you didn't know it, maybe your not ready for pointe work. I don't think it is possible to "teach" yourself how to do pointe... I f your gonna do it, please take lessons!
o yea i hve benn in pointe techniqe 4 2 years at barfield u have 2 be 11 or strong in ur feet ankles calf and there we have 2 e invited in if they think we r good enough and i am i have been dancin since i was 18 months old or younger normally we have 2 be three but me anna and katie were able 2
hey i am gettin my pointe shoes on the first week of july if u have tips please message me yes i have been through training by a professional ballet teacher nikki festervend she is awesome so tips r greatly appreaciatted
You really need to work on core strength and control. If your torso isn't strong and tight, you aren't going to be able to pull up onto pointe like you need to.
what does it take to get back on ponte? I want to go on really badly. i'm starting ballet on monday and i can already do 11 fouettes with a double piroette at the end. I know I'm not ready yet but how much longer! I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to go on pointe!
Just because you can do some fancy steps doesnt mean wahey lets go en pointe. It takes 2 years normally at least and you have to relly build the strength in your feet. It also depends on age, and get BACK en pointe? If you've been on before it shouldn't take as long
I know that now. I am in ballet 2B so I only have about 1 year left now. I didn't mean to type "back" en pointe, i just mean't in pointe. I DO have really strong feet, ankle, calf, core, etc muscles. I am probably going to take a summer intensive with the ballet 3 class, therefore getting en pointe by august or sept. thank you very much for your advice.
Hey! Good for you for showing your whole body! I hate it when people only show their feet, and it's obvious that they are holding on to something. Plus, arms are just as important as the feet! You're awesome for a beginner, keep it up and you'll go prima!
i no! its so annoying, its cuz they dont want people to see them holding onto stuff or making mistakes, but seriously everyone has to start somewhere!
alot of people tape with a digital camera and I know mine wont shoe too much and yes I do hold on I ma a beginner you are supposed to hold on when you first start ofr a couple of months but after that you should move on to center work
btw...how can it be that dark outside? i mean, it says that you uploaded the vid today (june 19) but the day isn't even over so how could it be so dark?
she could live in another part of the U.S. lol. i think u could get over ur box more and make sure ur su-su is really tight, and ur thighs are touching. don't swing ur arms around. how long have you been doing pointe?

Good job... just your turnout could improve. Also, your sickling your feet a bit, be careful of that too!
other than that, it was pretty good:)

i live in australia. i taught myself how to do pointe about 6 months ago.

you taught yourself pointe? wow, you're really good for a beginner and to say you taught yourself. australia? wow.

@bukkinfubble1432 thats really cool but you could seriously hurt yourself. Try going to a real studio and getting some basic lessons first.

bukkinfubble1432 3 years ago
